It’s nice how the manufacturing process for molded plastics is so repeatable that we can get these reasonably accurate rulers for such a low price.The markings are on the bottom, that typically touches the paper, so they’re easy enough to use for measurements.One issue is that these rulers are impressively thin. That helps to make them so cheap, and with the material choice it also allows them to bend all the way around without breaking.To break this ruler, I had to roll it all the way around, and then start compressing the two halves together. However, they still do break, and when they break tiny pieces tend to fly off I don’t know where. In this picture, you can see that as the tiny chunk missing at the 6″ mark. The broken edges are not exactly sharp, but they are slightly jagged and noticeably pointier than the ruler’s original corners.I would not expect these rulers to break like this under normal use. Someone would have to be mishandling them severely.

I was completely impressed when opening these. The numbers are clear, the measurements have been accurate thus far and they are extremely durable. They arrived quickly, were individually wrapped, taped and I assumed they were packaged this well to prevent breakage, well I was wrong, they were just packaged well, but indestructible, believe me I tried. I have some students that can be impulsive, and I was concerned that they would break these, they would shatter and someone would get hurt. Well I was wrong, there is no fear when using these for early elementary students, because I tried to break them, and they won't break. I would highly recommend these for any age student as like I mentioned, they will flex, but not break.

You get a lot of bang for your buck on this one. My kids lose and break stuff a lot, so having certain items in bulk makes sense. Otherwise, these make great classroom gifts or goody bag items. These seem accurate in comparison to my drafting tools. They're plastic so they have a bit of flex, which is good for small children. Just watch for sword fighting.

Pack of 50 gives me the luxury to have access to rulers in every room from garage to my den.

I got these for use in some of my orienteering packs. The intention is to have some light weight, cheap, waterproof rulers that I can cut down to the appropriate size for the pack. I just cut two of them down to just over 8 inches which gives me 20cm on the other side, starting with 10 cm.Don't think I can reasonably expect anything to be changed at this price point.+ Cheap (~$0.28/ruler when I got them)+ Look great brand new+ Scoring with an exacto knife allowed a reasonably clean break right where I wanted it+ Flexible enough to not get damaged accidentally+ Labelling can't be scratched off with my fingernail+ Breaking a 4 inch section is pretty difficult+ Measurements consistent with my other rulers- Shatters when it does break- Soft plastic that seems to scratch easily when exposed to dirt / sand.- Labeling is on the back side and not protected- Expect these will get harder to read as the top surface scratches and the labeling gets worn off the bottom surfaceI got the ones I needed, cut them down, and gave the rest to the school.

These 12 inch rulers are crystal clear so they are perfect for measuring lengths where you need to lay the ruler over the subject. It features inch lines broken down to 1/16” markings and centimeter lines broken down to millimeter markings. Zeros do no align with the actual physical ends of the ruler but are slightly inboard so no problem if the ruler’s ends begin to wear. Of course, if they do wear you have 49 more new rulers to replace it. NOTE: Each ruler is individually wrapped in clear plastic to protect its faces. Not sure what I’m going to do with 50 rulers but I’ll be on the lookout for an elementary school teacher who could use them.
