For Solid Wood Application: Drill 1/8" pilot hole. Fasten hook securely. For Plaster/Wallboard Application: Assemble toggle bolt wings down toward hook. Drill 11/16" pilot hole, hold wings of toggle bolt and insert into ceiling. Apply slight downward pressure while tightening hook securely.

Ceiling hole may be larger than expected.
Works great! My only concern is that the hole in the ceiling is larger than I thought it would be; it's about half an inch in diameter. Other than that, the hook is beautiful! It's supporting my lantern very well.

Works great for plants
These work great and hold well. I have NO idea how I'll take the hook back out but just pick a good spot to put the hook. Love them!
