Very good and quick at home

Looking at 2 different 1-star comments: 1. "The tool did not fit snugly in my Silhouette and did not etch properly." 2. "The etching tool etched to light on the metal tag." The tool actually fit snugly in the Silhouette Cameo and printed perfectly. Also, you can't just put the tool into the machine without making a few adjustments in the Studio program. I set the material to CHIPBOARD and used the default PRESSURE as 33. (All mental tags are not the same and you might have to adjust the PRESSURE settings - one tag made it necessary to set the material to CARD STOCK and use the default PRESSURE setting) (Disclaimer: the font on the photo is a unique font and not the the result of the etching tool.)

I use it for engraving jewelry. They turn out great. This tool is better than the original silhouette cameo or curio. It is sturdy and it's great quality. I will it again in the future!

Used with Cameo 3 and it worked well.

I really like the fact that you can use this with your cricut on so many things

Super affordable tool. A must add on for your Silhouette. Carved several plaques with it. Clean crisp lines.

I used this etching tip with some beautiful copper discs I got here on Amazon and I am very happy with the results (which look soooo much better in person). I used it in a Silhouette Curio and couldn't be happier! I have a few other Chomas tools and they are all top notch!

Seller claims precision tip gives a more detailed engrave, however, I did a comparison with the original engraving tip from the company that I already on with several designs & I see no difference on the design aspect of the engraving. I will say that I do NOT care for this tip for 2 reasons : # 1 being that in order to use it with your Cameo 3, you DO have to make adjustments in order for the tool not to drag across your metal leaving marks all over it & # 2 when it engraves on your metal, it leaves the engraved part extremely rough, almost like it will cut you when you touch it, so you WILL have to so some sanding or something to your design before you can sell it, wear it or give it away unlike the original engraving tip where you don't have to any of the above. I'm hoping the company makes some adjustments & re-releases the product to make it a bit better & I'll re purchase & try it again ! =)
