More practical.
Recommend by my son and it’s really useful. Much better than metal retractable tapes!

Great ruler much easier than tape measure for short measurements
It took some getting used to but this great folding ruler is ace for shorter measurements. More accurate than a tape measure and easier to use when laying out back boxes or measuring for fixings. And the price under £4 was an absolute steal!

Old-School Excellence
Classic ruler that folds up in a compact bundle. The positive to this style is that it doesn’t snap back like a retractable metal tape so no shocking slap in the face or injury from a slip of the lock. Love these and happy they’re still being made.

Reading the Ruler
The ruler has the necessary measurements on it, however the metres are not marked and so with the very small numbers on the ruler it’s hard to identify the actual metre and 2 metre position. A coloured line making it instantly recognisable would be helpful. Also a coloured line identifying the feet would help. The writing of numbers is small so it needs close visual inspection.

I bought one of these after a German woman living in my state noted most Germans use these in lieu of a measuring tapes for shorter measuring (say six ft. Or less). It is high quality and spot-on accurate using various Starrett, Woodpeckers and FastCap measuring devices. I highly recommend.

Every joint on the ruler loses accuracy, either gaining or losing up to 1/16" inconsistently, compared to several known accurate rulers.
