Worth the money, son will live it for xmas

This rechargeable train set arrived neatly packed in nice presentable packaging suitable for gifting. It comes with everything you need to put it together with clear and thorough instructions so it’s straightforward to follow and put together easily.The remote control supplied is easy to use and works as intended.I got this as a birthday present for my 7-year-old son who is mad about trains. He was over the moon when he first saw this train set, but you should look at his face when he saw that steam/smoke is coming out of the funnel!It doesn't take long to charge and the battery lasts quite a long time too. But of course, that depends on how long your child plays with it. My son plays for around an hour or so a day, and the charge lasts for a few days.Overall, a nice train set toy that’s fun and works well so far. It has provided hours of fun.

Set up the train for my son on Christmas Eve and the remote never connected to the train, making both parts useless. I have contacted the seller 4 times since trying to come up with some sort of resolution to my issue and have been ignored on all occasions. My son is devastated as that was the only thing he asked Santa for. I have since ordered from a different company.

The media could not be loaded. Classic style train set, it looks lovely around our Christmas tree!I was a bit unsure about it at first, as the instructions on the box are a bit confusing.You need a screwdriver to open the battery compartment in the remote, and you do need to have 2 x AA batteries for this. However, the instructions made it seem like you had to insert batteries into the train as well, when you don't. The rechargeable batteries are already inside the 'coal water compartments' carriage, and a USB lead is provided to charge them, so it's very simple to do.You also get some cardboard cut out people/scenery, but these are a bit naff in my opinion, and we won't use them.The track went together well, and you can set it up in a few configurations. We had it as a large oval to start with, and then made it into a smaller circular track to fit around our tree.Very easy to work the train, even my little girl (5) was doing it all on her own after a bit of practice. You simply turn the arrow clockwise for forwards, anticlockwise for backwards, and keep it in the centre to stop it. There is an on/off button in the middle, and either side of that are buttons to activate the 'steam', and also sound the horn.A little plastic pipette is provided, so adding water to the train was also very easy to do, and I think the effect of it is really amazing! (see my video)Overall, I think it's a decent train. A few times the carriages came off the tracks, and it isn't as sturdy and high quality as others can be, but for the price I think it's very good, and looks great!

I purchased this item for our grandson, he was thrilled with it and played with it for hours, it was very life like with the steam coming out .

great value for money, works well

I bought this train some month ago for my husband and I've just given to him as we has just got married. Very disappointed as the coal water compartment came empty, I mean I wanted to place the batteries but when I opened it no battery box inside as they show in the picture, also I'm still trying the remote control which has something lose inside as it makes a noise when moving. I really wanted to use it with batteries and no USB. Still I have to try that. No noise to pay for something new and receive it in this condition. I set the rail under the Christmas tree but I have the impression that it won't work. Shame to send something like that, I've saved money for some time to get a good one but my experience now is not good at all. Sorry
