This is a great looking tree but the height is disappointing. It’s a few inches short of 6ft. We expected to raise it slightly by filling its pot, but that would make it entirely too unsteady being as short as it is. Going to return for the 7ft tree (which is annoying).As described by others, the tree comes in two pieces where you slide the top piece into the top of the bottom piece’s stem. We found this to be a secure connection. The hole in the top of the tree has a notch inside that slides perfectly into a slot/channel carved into the bottom piece. I wasn’t worried about the top falling off.

It’s not as large as I expect but it does serve as a good decor at the corner. I cannot say the olive leaves look like real, but generally it’s better than the one sold on Target. Given the price, it’s advisable to shop this tree when there’s a promotion.

For the money a very nice tree. This is just right for my room.

UPDATE: money was refunded - great costumer service and making things right. Will try another product down the road.Comes highly recommended from other influencers but I found this one to be cheap in quality. The branches do not flex well to help the tree look more natural. Great for smaller spaces though as it remains very vertical after unpacking. Leaves aren’t as realistic as I expect from a faux plant of this value.

As I type this faux olive tree is priced at $169.99. Now, I have never really shopped for a faux tree before but given how expensive EVERYTHING is currently, and how costly the faux flowers and stems I do frequently purchase are, I would guess that that price (for this tree specifically) may be a tad high, but probably isn't outrageous. It is, after all, a large, potted tree and not just a bouquet of stems. Having said that though, I would not happily pay that much for it without doing a lot of comparison shopping first, because there may be better ones out there, IDK. The tree does not look terribly realistic to my eyes, even from a distance, but it does look like a reasonably good copy of an olive tree, and to be honest, I am a bit of a snob about this sort of thing anyway so my standards for realism may be too high. Let me put it this way, I have some very realistic looking AND feeling faux flowers that I paid a small fortune for which really do fool the eye, and this tree is definitely not on par with them. But as far as faux goes, I would say this tree is better than average quality when compared to some I've seen. The pot and 'soil' are unremarkable so I will most definitely be placing the tree into a basket or something and zhuzhing it up with some moss, etc. but just as a base, the pot has a good weight to it and feels pretty sturdy. The tree 'bark' actually looks pretty good to my eyes, but as with all faux greenery/florals, it is the leaves that really let this tree down. They are all identical, and when viewed from the underside it is very apparent they are not real leaves. To be fair though, I have yet to see any leaves on any faux plant or flower that look truly realistic, no matter their material or attention to detail, and the way they are attached to their stems always gives them away regardless. The one thing I really don't like about this tree is the noticeable seam on the trunk, where the upper portion attaches to the lower portion. Not only does it take away from the realism it is a sort of weakness if you will, because the upper portion is easily separated from the bottom. I thought that once pushed into place the two pieces would be difficult to pull apart, but that is not the case at all. They actually come apart so easily that I need to be careful when moving the tree around, remembering to always grab it at the base. Bottom line? I don't expect to fool anyone into thinking this is a real tree, but it is still nice to look at and a great way to add some greenery without having another live plant I need to care for.
