I recently purchased this set for my brother and had the chance to take it to the driving range before giving it to him. The set is a barebones one, but it exceeded my expectations with its great feel, straight hits, and forgiving nature.As an avid golfer (read: hacker) myself, I found the clubs to be impressive overall. They performed admirably on the driving range, providing consistently straight shots and a comfortable feel.While I have used higher-end putters like my own Odyssey and others' Camerons before, I found the included putter in this set to be decent but not exceptional. It's essential to manage expectations when comparing it to more premium options.This set is an excellent choice for beginners or those looking to upgrade from their first set without breaking the bank.If you're considering entering the world of golf and want a quality start, this set is a fantastic option. While I had access to a local shop with a wide selection of used clubs at reasonable prices, I believe this set would have been a strong contender if that weren't the case.As golfers improve their game, they can explore other club options and trade these in or pass them on. So, it may be a practical investment that can grow with them.In summary, I highly recommend the Strata set for anyone starting their golf journey. A good starter set for golf without the huge financial commitment. The quality is fine and weight and size of bag is as expected. Easy to throw into the back of a golf cart. The length is just fine and I’m 5’11”

For beginner golf this is the best set to have. It’s good quality, has all the essentials and are player friendly.

Has all of the essential clubs that you will need to start playing golf. It was a little confusing to me how it is labeled as a 9 piece set but there are only 6 clubs. They are the Driver, 5H, 7I, 9I, SW, and PT which is the perfect set for beginners. Having this few clubs will not overwhelm beginners with too many choices on which club to select. With that being said I wish that I had bought a complete set of 12 clubs to start. Though the main thing that kept me from doing that was I wasn't sure if I would enjoy playing golf or not and I assumed that I could just buy the other clubs that I was missing easily. Well you can buy extra clubs just not Strata brand and they come in sets cheaper than individually. So I have like 3 duplicate clubs now.The bag is very nice. I love the pocket position and size. The rain cover is nice too and easy to remove when not needed. The built in tripod stand is also handy when at the driving range. The only thing that I don't like about the bag is the goofy backpack strap. It's so awkward walking up to the clubhouse taking up 3 times the amount of space that you normally would. And the bag is designed in such a way that you can not put a standard shoulder strap on in place of the backpack strap.

I bought 7 sets of these clubs and, due to poor quality, not one bag is still complete after less than 3 months. Every one has at least one club broken. This was not due to bad golfers or swings. In most cases the head (especially on the drivers) just fell off after a solid hit. I know these are not named brand clubs and are mostly for beginners but that's even more reason why they should be durable. Over $2,000.00 wasted! DO NOT BUY!

I’ve been very impressed by these set of clubs so far. I’m an absolute beginner and these clubs have been everything I needed at an absolute great price. I’ve taken out a couple times and have had no issues thus far.

Update: Callaway support came to the rescue. The support phone line could be a bit busy. They quickly sent out an upgraded replacement driver and fairly easy process. My confidence is back on the brand.Yep. The driver head broke off from the shaft after bought it just a bit over two weeks. Same as other have reported and pictures showed. Amazon return is not easy. They wanted you to go to a UPS location and with a box to send it in. So, save the box, you might need it. Contacting Callaway now to see what they can do.
