Mighty Max Cart Sports Fishing and Utility Cart, 400 Lb Capacity

I purchased this cart to go to the beach and occasionally fish . I was attracted by the all plastic construction, assertion that it wouldn't rust and the compact nature of the cart. It also said that it rolls easily over sand and so it seemed to be a great choice -- Until it arrived.The cart has steel axles secured by spring steel axle retainers. These will certainly rust, and they can't be easily taken apart as most wheels for other fishing carts can be. It also says that it rolls easily over sandy terrain, but in my experience it has to be dragged over dry sand to the extent that the front wheels come off the ground because you are pulling so hard. This is with a lightly loaded cooler and several beach chairs.The cart is compact, and rolls nicely on wet sand and any hard surface. It doesn't have a brake as some fishing carts do so it actually has to be secured if you have any thing on it that might catch the wind.So, I rated this a 1, that's not because its horrible for everything, it's just OK for most things, but it isn't as advertised and that makes it horrible for my choice. This product has potential, but needs improvement and proper disclosure in marketing material. Pros: Compact, Rolls easily on wet sand and hard pack, wide wheels, Will hold a heavy load (as long as it isn't extended), most hardware is nylon (non metallic), Includes a nice wrench to keep from over torqueing bolts, Cheaper than some fishing carts, nice features (Expandable, optional connection to tow ), includes 2 bungee cords.Cons. Metal construction in Axles and retainers that will rust, Very hard to pull over dry sand (small diameter wheels), Below average molding quality (sink marks, etc), much more expensive than other carts of similar utility (ie -- I wouldn't complain if this was the $60 expanding cart that every discount store sells), have to pay extra for tow feature (included in my other cart), Can't upgrade to new plus one wheels (parts not available and retainers not easy to remove), Makes a poor example for "Made in America" (especially if the sales and marketing information isn't true).

We put alot of weight on this cart and pulled it across the parking lot and thru the sand at the beach. It was easy to pull with the tires that are on it. My husband loves it. He will have to fix the pole holders to keep them from constantly coming off while pulling the cart. The 2" bolt is plastic and not stainless steel (shows stainless steel in the directions) that goes thru the front frame. That is the only part of the design he is not happy with.

I love this cart - nice and lightweight. If I have to write one negative is that I wish the rod holders and the ends stayed in place better. Think I may glue them in so they don't come out so easily. It is super to haul all of my stuff to the lake for my fishing trips!

Great cart. Rolls extremely well. Rugged. I would recommend you buy two additional fishing pole holders to allow folding chairs to be carried without rolling off. This cart is light weight and can easily be lifted into the back of a pickup truck. I will use it for travel ball, taking chairs and cooler to the beach and for surf and pier fishing.

I love this cart. My husband and I use it all the time. Great quality and very useful for around the house. If it ever breaks I would purchase again.

Is cart does NOT roll over sand very well at all. With a cooler and suf fishing gear it's almost impossible to roll it on anything but the hardest of packed sand, it's like trying to drag plow by hand. Will be returning ASAP. If you're looking for a beach cart, this isn't it. Also, when fully extended to its max length it sags very bad with a 30qt cooler and a couple beach chairs on it.

This is perfect for hauling around a big ice chest, especially if you are at the beach....wide tires do not sink in sand. Handle extends to various lengths. Bed extends out to accommodate most items.

continues to amaze me everytime i use it. making a few modifications to help carry more stuff but it will carry the wt is states and rolls over anything. Would recommend...
