Good stuff but aware of snail trail.... which can be fixed!
Bought this kit to repair a cashmere jumper... it worked, BUT alas we managed to get the glue granules onto the front side of the jumper, so looks like a snail trail! However, this is not a fault of the product, and I'm looking forward to using it to hem cotton net curtains from Ikea. UPDATE: Great news.... simply placed brown paper and the silicon sheet over the "snail trail" of melted glue on the front of the jumper and voilà! The glue has completely come off and you cannot see there was ever a hole there! So raised it to 5 stars!

Finally, it's amazing- but watch the video
Firstly, I bought this to repair holes in several Cashmere jumpers which had been chewed by moths, and I have no experience of using it for anything else.I spent a very long time experimenting on old sweaters until I finally worked it out but cut to the chase, the best thing for you to do is to search for a video called 'How to repair a hole in a cashmere sweater with Fuse It Powder'. Do it that way and note well that you are working on the wrong side of the garment and then it's quick and easy. I used one of those tools to get the piles off to make the little ball of wool. They aren't brushes they scrape the piles off as if they were sandpaper and I put the product and the ball in a dish to mix them.If you do it the wrong way the product will stick to the silicon, the front will be hard and shiny and the ball will fall out almost immediately. But as you can see from the pictures, you can't see where the damage is unless you know where it is and the third one being a close up, I'm not even sure you can tell then.No idea of longevity yet but fingers crossed.

I thought this might be too good to be true and it is. Repair leaves a hard lump in your lovely soft sweater
Disappointing ......

Works well, if a bit fiddly
Arrived quickly and was packaged well. I used this to fix a tear in a wool jumper. I found that it was a little bit fiddly to use (to try and pour the powder on the tear), but it worked well. I didn't need to use much to fix the problem, so I feel that this would last forever!

Waste of money
It doesn’t work at all and leaves horrible track of grayish stains.

very simple to use & effective
superb product. welded three slits in my ski pants, look very good & saved further ripping. Also mended a pair of jeans by welding a patch inside, very good product.

Really works
I have a lot of wool and cashmere jumpers and must say this worked a treat on quite a large hole. Read the instructions carefully and don’t be heavy handed. I used an battery de bobbler to get my fluff as I wasn’t keen on cutting into the seams, worked brilliantly.
