Ich liebe die Salomon Speedcross. Das sind die einzigen Schuhe, die ich anziehe und die sich anfühlen, als wären sie nur für mich gemacht. Keine Blasen niemals. Ich kaufe die Speedcross seit Jahren.

When I say somewhat small and narrow, it is just that. Very slight. They still fit well, and I think they will loosen up a bit with wear. They are extremely comfortable otherwise......the midsole is cushy, but stout. The removable insole is designed to be light and is thin memory foam, so it gives too much when compressed. But that issue is mitigated by an extra layer of foam integrated into the midsole just below the insole. So a nice balance of support and cushioning. The entire boot is light, esp. when considering it is designed for backpacking. They almost seem too light for that, but they feel supportive with an extra band of rubber to reinforce the heel/ankle area. The rubber toe cap seems solid and protects the leather and your foot. I was a little concerned about the fabric shoelace rings instead of metal eyelets (the top two are metal), but they seem very well stitched. Remains to be seen if that will be a problem with mountain use over time. Tongue is cushioned and sits up higher on your lower shin than most boots....for better comfort from the laces. Outsole seems rugged and grippy, as one would expect from Salomon. Very breathable with the Gore Tex lining, as I wore them in temperatures around 90 degrees without too much heat buildup or sweating. Nice color combination......the green seemed just a tad darker than it looks in the photos. Haven't been on a hike yet, and don't know about waterproofing quality either. I will try to do a follow up review, but first impressions are very favorable! Esp. for the price on the size I purchased.....less than a $100 for a fairly technical, but very lightweight boot. If they are as comfortable on a long hike as they are walking around for general use, they will be an absolute steal!

Ich mag den Schnitt vom Speedcross, da er absolut passgenau ist. Vorfuß nicht so breit wie z.B. beim XA Pro. Länge ist ebenfals etwas kürzer. Ich nehm den daher immer eine halbe Nummer größer. Beim Alltagseinsatz läuft sich die Sohle relativ schnell runter. Stört mich aber nicht. Das bestellte Modell war bei mir allerdings nicht, wie in der Beschreibung angegeben, ein Speedcross 5 Gore-Tex, sondern ein Speedcross 6. Kennt man an der Farbe und da der Preis gepasst hat, hab ich bestellt.

Trage das Modell seit langem! Doch diesmal: zu klein, zu weit! Meines Erachtens mindere Qualität! Rücksendung reibungslos
