Went on well, looks great, and was a good price. A word of caution on re-painting...
The Cuprinol 'Seagrass' product covered well, was pleasant to apply, looked good (see photo just after first paint) and lasted... well, almost too well! While fresh, it takes a second coat nicely, but eventually a waxy, water-repellent layer will rise to the surface as it dries over time. Impressive! But when I attempted a freshen-up re-paint on my cabin three years later, the new paint just sat in beads on the surface—I had to give up. Three years later still and the surface layer had finally eroded sufficiently to take two more layers nicely. I believe the manufacturer states you must degrease the surface prior to repainting if you aren't prepared to wait until it is really well weathered. My advice is to get it on thick to start with so it'll look good for 5-6 years, unless you fancy the elbow grease solution...

Good after a few coats
It's a bit paler than I thought it would be, but easy to apply, gies on nice and even with no lumps. It's quite thin you need at least 2 coats, if not three on bare wood. The first coat takes longest as it absorbs in, the third coat was the quickest, nice and smooth. Coverage it pretty decent although you can still see the wood grain in places where it is very dry or cracked, so I guess the overall result depends on the condition of the wood you are painting.Just wish Amazon would stop messing around with the prices. Its 20 quid. Just leave it.

Not the cheapest paint around, but good quality
Easy to apply, the colour is a good match to what is shown on the front of the tin. The consistency is not too runny, but is viscous enough to quickly apply. I used the product to paint a new shed made from rough swan timber, which came pre treated and was almost a chestnut/ orange colour and one coat gave good coverage but would benefit from a second coat.

Great product & easy to use + longevity
I've been using these 'Shades' for some time now, with great success. Planters, Trellising, Tables & Chairs get a treat every 4 years. Complimentary, Contrasting, or Primary all can work . . but one doesn't see the grain, unless very grainy, then one can see the timbers texture. There has been no apparent harm to my various Japanese Mock Orange and Bay Trees that have the inner sides of the planters treated.I can highly recommend this product, and like all my reviews I AM NOT SPONSORED, that's because I can be scathing.A tip for application . . if requiring a few coats, do not allow to fully cure between coats as the product forms a wax-like surface when cured. Not a problem though a few years later, like now !

Fast and efficient as usual
A very prompt delivery. The paint I ordered was well packaged, arriving in a sealed strong plastic bag within a well padded cardboard box. The paint tins lid was anchored down with restraining pins.It was good to know that there would be little likely hood of having to return this item due to transport damage. The delivery was so rapid the item arrived 5 days in advance.LightingandMobileAccessoriesUK's store description was precise and ordering was easy and reliable.I would definitely use this seller again.Cuprinol Garden Shades is a product designed to be painted onto smooth planed wood so is ideal for my wooden ranch gate and smooth planed timber fence. Having used the product before I can vouch for its durability and know that I can leave it for another five years.Needless to say the product can be used on rough sawn timber but being rough wood causes it to have a bigger surface area than smooth planed wood and so uses more paint. A really easy to apply garden paint I would recommend to anyone.

Great product. Nice colour; white enough without being stark

Lovely colour..
This is my second order. It’s a lovely paint. It is opaque, so if you want a solid colour then you will need to do multiple coats, depending on the colour you’re painting over. I’ve used one coat on my garden fences as the desired colour I wanted was similar to the colour on the tin and I still wanted to see the woods grain. On my garden gate I have used two coats, giving the gate a lighter finish.

Easy to apply and gives a good finish
I bought the cheapest one which, at the time, was the seasoned oak. It was only for a cat tree house i was making out of scrap pallet wood. It is very dark (see my photo) and dries to a very rich finish. Application is very easy - i just sanded the wood and applied the finish with a normal paint brush. Its not as watery as some treatments I’ve used in the past. Two coats are required (minimum) after the first cost it was a bit wishy-washy but the second coat fixed that. You must reapply the second coat within 8 hours otherwise the paint will dry completely and it wont take. If you do have to reapply just give the surface a light sanding first then you should be ok. I’m pleased with it - i just hope my cats will be too!
