I discovered a year or so ago, that one cannot age ignorantly (I'm 61). So, I started doing my own research on what changes physically as humans get older. Amino acids greatly reduce, as does collagen. So, I have devised my own "program", and I feel a couple of decades younger!As part of this, I have tried several products to add in the 'minor' (but still important) essential amino acids. First one was expensive, but not strong enough. Second one was for body-builders and was of questionable quality (not to mention the horrible taste).This product is awesome! Every time I take it now, I feel 'better' within a 1/2 hour - and no, that's not a placebo effect. I'm very body sensitive, and despite being skeptical, I 'felt' this product the first time I took it. (Make sure you supplement the 'major' essential amino acids first, or along with these, or you may not notice any difference, as the 'minors' serve like catalysts or enhancers for the metabolism of the 'majors'.)I'm not a doctor, but doing an AA program will NOT fix any bad health situation, nor is it a "magic bullet". However, if you're in otherwise good health, but still dragging a$$ around, it could be from amino acid deficiencies, and a "program" will improve your 'energy'. (Dr. Phil is off to a good start, but he didn't 'complete' his homework yet.)

I generally use collagen peptides everyday in a morning drink (protein shake, coffee) and I usually buy based on the price. I have used many different brands of collagen peptides over the last year or two and can honestly say this is the first that has had a bad smell and taste. It definitely is not unflavored. I cannot wait for it to all be gone so I can buy something else. The bad thing is I ordered two jugs of it since the price was good. Maybe I just got a bad batch or something, but if you don't like the taste/smell of a dead animal in your drinks I would advise looking for a different brand.

We've been taken peptides for a while now. Unfortunately Amazon stop carrying the one that we used to purchase so I decided to give this one a try. I liked the fact that it contains more protein compared to other brands and the aminos is a plus. The only drawback is that it tastes awful. When I 1st received it, I noticed a funny smell. Its smelled like protein that had been left in a use shaker bottle. That bitter rotten smell and I thought maybe some of the powder got out when packaging and the container got wet, but when I opened it, it was still sealed completely so no biggie. When I started putting it in my shakes, they ended up having that same taste. I checked the expiration date and it's still good. So I'm not sure if it was just a bad batch. My husband thinks its the aminos that possibly give it that funky taste but I don't agree because we take aminos on a regular basis and never hsve had that issue. He refuses to take (mind u he eats everything) but I'm still using it because I don't want to waste the money and I want the benefits from it. However it has made taking my protein shakes somewhat unbearable. I will probably not be purchasing this product again.

This is a high quality product but does have a bit of a strange taste to it. If you mix into a full glass of juice or milk, it's fine but a small cup will not dilute the funny taste.

This is my new go to for collagen. The amino acids and protein intake sold me but the results speak for themselves. Joint pain is down to a minimum, and my hair and nails have never been better. It mixes easily, no clumping and has no flavor which is a huge selling point for me. This brand is well worth the investment and I’m adding other Prometheus supplements to my regimen for sure.

I've been doing a ketogenic diet so this is perfect in my coffee with some MCT oil and butter. I absolutely love the taste. However my problem with the product is when a side to side protein comparison is made with other collagen peptides. Prometheus collagen boasts 13 grams of protein per serving. However the back of the label says 13mg of protein per serving. I don't understand is the 13 grams per serving a typo? Or the 13mg a typo? If it is 13 grams I would give it 5 stars.

The jury is still out however, since I don't see a difference in my joints ..... my girl who does my eyelash extensions (of 4 years) noted that I have more lashes to work with ... it’s only been two months I’ve used the Collagen peptides but I do believe there is a noticeable difference in the hair & nails!!!Update ... 3 months have passed and I've noticed a difference in my skin tone, my nails and my hair. My joints are still sore but I'll take the hair and nails difference since I haven't had my own nails in 26 years [and do now] and my hair 'was' just looking drab & stringy but looks & feels stronger and healthier now -- I definitely see a difference!

I normally don't like to write a bad review .. but in this case I am very compelled to.I've been using a different brand of Collagen Peptides for the last 3 months, and honestly, I was pretty happy with it. I ran across this brand, and with the good reviews, and the impression I was getting a little more protein, I thought I would give it a try.Well .. upon receiving this brand I immediately noticed it advertised more protein (just slightly more than the other) ... but I was actually using a little more. Along with the increased amount was also an increase in calories. The other brand had 40 calories per scoop ... this brand has 50 calories per scoop. The other had 41 servings per container, this has 32. On top of that ... this brand is a few bucks more .. and for less servings per.And last, but probably the most important ... it certainly does not desolve like the other ... and actually (after I got the lumps smashed and stirred) ... it does seem to have a slight chalky taste. Needless to say ... I'm not happy.
