One of, if not THE, best of the series!
Volume 13 of the "Have a Nice Day" series could be just what you need to have that nice day. This disc has it all: the driving rockers "Radar Love" and "The Night Chicago Died", one of the decade's most beautiful ballads in Dave Loggins' "Please Come to Boston", the bubblegum flavored MOR pop cut "Billy, Don't Be a Hero" and plenty more.Bill Stafford adds the sniggery cross-over hit "My Girl Bill" and Maria Muldaur goes one step further with the very suggestive "Midnight at the Oasis."In fact, Volume 13 is so strong that Wet Willie's "Keep on Smilin'" and Reunion's "Life is a Rock" are the weakest cuts offered. For this series, that's going some.If you're only going to take a couple Volumes from the set, this has got to be one of them. A legitimate five-star collection, Volume 13 is highly recommended.

More great hits of the 70s!
I have several of these already and they are really good! The big draw of this particular collection for me was both of Bo Donaldson's hits,"Billy Don't Be A Hero"and"Who Do You Think You Are?". The other songs are good, too. If you like the music of the 70s,get this collection-you'll love it!

awesome
One of the first CDs in this Series that I owned. Unfortunately it was lost in a move so I have ordered it again. I was late in getting into this series but would recommend any of the 25 CDs in this series to anyone. I am happy to have found it for such a great price.

LUCKY THIRTEEN
SUPER HITS OF THE 70S, VOL. 13: There's not a whole lotta rock in Rhino's thirteenth Have a Nice Day disc, Dutch Invasion act Golden Earring's heavy "road trip" Radar Love excepted. You'll find plenty of career makers though, from Andy Kim's bubblegum gem Rock Me Gently and Wet Willie's reggae-tinged Keep On Smilin' to the sassy pillow talk of Maria Muldaur's Midnight at the Oasis. Bo Donaldson's two highest charting singles, Billy Don't Be a Hero and Who Do You Think You Are, make welcome additions, ditto Paper Lace (who did the original Billy) on the historically incorrect thumper The Night Chicago Died. Perhaps most impressive of all is Life is a Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me), a lickety split laundry list of oldies acts bleated by Ohio Express front man Joey Levine (under the pseudonym Reunion). It's the very last song and, for better or worse, the one you'll still be humming days later.RATING: FOUR BEER CAN HATS
