Raven of the Inner Palace (Light Novel) Vol. 1

This is the first Japanense light novel I've read, and I thouroughly enjoyed it. As a few folks have mentioned, there are a couple of typos. I don't know about you, but this makes me smile because this just means humans worked on it. Besides, even imperfect books have beautiful stories inside. And this is a lovely story, and setting up a world I look forward to exploring more in depth.

The book was just alright. It was a fun read, but none of the characters or scenarios really stuck out to me in a way that made me want to continue the story. The ghost stories where interesting, but they kind of went by too fast to really have any impact. The tone of the story was a lot less mysterious than I thought it would be.
