Pleasantly Surprise
I know sleeping with your mouth open is not a good look, but then I found out that it contributes to tooth decay. Also, I heard it is NOT uncommon for spiders to crawl into an open mouth during sleep (I do not camp and information such as this, only affirms that my aversion to participating in the whole “let’s pretend like we’re homeless for fun” thing is right on target). Anyways, these are the three reasons why I decided to try these (and yes, my husband thinks I am nuts!).At first, I was worried about the adhesive because I am allergic to latex (as well as most adhesives), but I read all the reviews and saw nothing indicating someone else had already had a reaction. So, I decided to roll the dice and give them a try. I am really glad I did, and I just ordered my second box. These are brilliant! I had no allergic reactions (a huge bonus because if I had, I am pretty sure it would've looked like I had ring worm around my mouth and I don’t even know if that is a thing). The adhesive is strong enough to stay on all night but not so strong it rips your lips off when removed. There is a tiny vent in the front, that is big enough to pass a sufficient amount of oxygen through your lips and prevent your subconscious from thinking you’re suffocating as you drift off to sleep.Just remember to take your meds, drink water, and say goodnight before you apply if you don’t you may have difficulty completing those tasks while wearing the tape.

Works great for the price
I came across mouth snoring tape a few years ago after I traveled with someone who complained about my horrendous snoring. My family just put up with it and didn't complain. So I got a snoring monitoring app on my phone, which I highly recommend, and found out that I was off the charts. I was consistently around 165 on a scale of 0-180. I know it is not medically conclusive, but I didn't notice any apnea episodes which amazed me considering that snoring and apnea usually go hand in hand. My father and cousin both had negative apnea tests despite horrific snoring, so maybe we just got lucky. If you're snoring is bad, you should probably make sure you don't have sleep apnea. That led me to discover mouth taping. I tried to cheap it out at first with regular medical tape but that peels your skin off after a couple of days. So I bought a brand name but they were about a dollar each and it got really expensive. I also found out that I couldn't breath through my nose. This led me to try nasal spray. Low and behold, my snoring dropped to around 50. I knew nasal spray isn't a great long term solution, so I got surgery to repair my deviated septum along with 4 other nasal problems that I don't know anything about. My snoring got much better as long as I was using the tape. But it got expensive and when I didn't use the tape, my brain would go back to mouth breathing. I tried some cheaper alternatives and they were junk. So I stopped using it for a while.I recently decided to try the taping again and I found this brand. It's twice the amount for half the price. And it works great. A couple tips... Shave. Often. If I shave at least every other day, it stays on great. No lip balm. If you want to get rid of the breathing vent (which I'm sure is because of liability or people wanting to get a sip of water through a straw), cut a strip from an old one and cover the vent. Give it time. It'll take some getting used to. People with cpap go through the same thing. You might only be able to do an hour or two at first, but you WILL get used to it. That why I recommend using a snoring monitoring app. When you can see the drastic improvement, you will be much more motivated to stick it out.Right now, my snoring is between 20-30 with this tape. It's the best it's ever been, and at a much more reasonable price than I was paying before. This will be my go-to brand from now on.

Thin clear plastic and strong adhesive make these tough to remove
Taping my mouth closed has resulted in better sleep for myself and partner the more than two years I have been doing it. I have typically used SomniFix but it was not available last time I ordered. Dr. Johnes Advanced Mouth Tape was a better value and work as intended. Trouble is that they are thin, clear plastic which makes them somewhat difficult to see in the packaging and, when on your face, difficult to locate the edge to remove. They are also a bit more ridgid than the SomniFix but not so much so to be uncomfortable. The adhesive is strong but should allow you to pop your mouth open if you cough or sneeze. I find they can be reused a few times. I also use a small piece of tape to cover the opening and force nasal breathing.

Post-tonsillectomy breathing
I’ve always had a really hard time breathing through my nose, so I breathe through my mouth when I sleep. Recently, I had my tonsils removed and suddenly can breathe through my nose! While I can control my breathing during the day, 30 years of mouth breathing kicks in during sleep. These strips have been a great way to train my body to breathe through my nose.

What a relief
My mouth stays closed and no longer pops open during the night while I’m sleeping. I just got a pap machine and for some reason I open my mouth more with it which in turn dries my mouth out and causes much pain and some sleep deprivation. The whole purpose of having a cpap is to get better sleep. This mouth tape works very well and solves my problem. My mouth stays closed throughout the night and doesn’t dry out from my full face mask. I hate having the need for these, but they are the best solution I have found so far. And I don’t wake up so sleepy and brain foggy.

Actually stays put!
I've tried several different sleep strips and this is the one I've decided to use exclusively.Others (the "X" style) don't grip enough area to keep my mouth closed, and they allow me to breathe through the uncovered ends. Some other brands (that are less expensive) have this same shape, but their adhesive doesn't work as well and comes off my mouth. The Dr. Johnes strips are wide enough to cover most of my mouth, and the adhesive is quite good; it stays put despite the water vapor from my CPAP. It costs a bit more than some competitors, but I'll happily keep buying it because it works! Now if I could just remember to tell Alexa to turn out the light before I put the strip on... :)

Easy to use and they work
I'm really liking this product. I was using medical tape prior to finding this product and this is definitely better. It is already "mouth shaped," it sticks well and lasts the whole night, and the small breathing hole is very convenient to have. I will continue to use this product nightly. It allows me to wake up without a dry mouth and helps to ensure I breathe through my nose while sleeping.

Pretty good!
I bought these because I was tired of people making fun of my snoring. I also noticed that I would wake up with a dry throat. These sleep strips work great! I notice that I wake up feeling a bit more rested and no comments about my snoring! (except now I get made fun of for wearing mouth tape lol). There’s a hole in the middle of the strip that makes it easy to breathe so you won’t suffocate lol but I try to concentrate on breathing through my nose. They also stay on until the morning.

Has significantly reduced snoring!
I've gained a bunch of weight and my snoring was off the charts to the point that my poor husband hasn't slept through the night in months. I bought these less than a week ago and every night this week he's slept all night long without being woken up by my snoring. The tape stays on well all night long which is surprising because of how much I would drool. So glad I tried these!Adding to my review July 30th and I am still in love with these! My husband has been able to sleep all night long the entire month. I'll never be without these again.

Very effective!
I use to constantly wake up with a very dry mouth from sleeping with my mouth open. Since using these strips I no longer wake with this problem. My husband also says he no longer hears me snoring all the time. Definitely we’ll worth it.

no more snoring!
This is the best mouth tape on the market! The adhesive is really strong! The other competitor's mouth tape goes past your mouth and doesn't stay on because of my facial hair. I'm re-upping more once I finish this first order. Definitely recommend this to everyone!
