Works good just doesn’t stay connected

This JRHC Barcode Scanner is easy to use, always accurate and lightweight, which is an added attraction. Very handy when shopping or for personal use in my own shop.

Want a inexpensive scanner to do inventory. Plugged into my laptop and it scanned like a charm!

It works but it definitely feels cheaper. It is great if you know how to build your own scanning system to organize things.

Strange thing, when I first unboxed this and plugged it into my PC's USB port, it would not work. No light or anything. Tried a couple different ports, and nothing.. Go frustrated, put it back in the box, considered returning it, but stuck it on a shelf and let it go for a couple days. Come back to it, take it out, figured I'd try one more time, thought maybe there was an on/off switch I missed, who knows.. But anyways, I give it another go, and boom, instantly it's working just as I plug it in.. I was shocked honestly, but then I was like.. COOL!! No idea why it wasn't working for me the first time, maybe my PC just needed a reboot or something, but yeah, working fine now. Opened up an Excel spreadsheet to test it, scanned a couple bar codes in my office, and it picked them up right away and gave a confirmation beep. I then got a USB-A to USB-C adapter out and tried it with my (android) phone. Yep, worked on that too, which is what I had REALLY wanted. Makes my job a lot easier if I can scan stuff with my phone or a tablet. This scanner does an excellent job, nice and lightweight too.

Don’t ask me what my husband does with this thing but he has a lot of fun with it. He scans stuff it works and he’s thrilled so I’m happy.

Der Scanner funktioniert ziemlich gut. 1D und 2D-Codes lassen sich gut lesen und werden an den PC übermittelt, als ob die Daten über eine Tastatur eingetippt würden. Dadurch lässt sich das Gerät treiberlos nutzen. Allerdings bedeutet der Verzicht auf einen Treiber auch, dass man Einstellungen nicht am Rechner machen kann, sondern über das Lesen von Barcodes vornehmen muss. In dieser Klasse sehe ich hier aber eher die positiven Aspekte, dass ich keinen Treiber brauche und im Zweifel auch wenn der Hersteller einmal vom Markt verschwindet das Gerät weiter nutzen kann.Trotzdem gibt es einen Kritikpunkt: Die Halterung gefällt mir nicht wirklich. Auch nicht in dieser Preisklasse.

Ich habe mir das Gerät bestellt, um Barcodes in Kalkulationsprogrammen zu speichern. Der Artikel kam gut verpackt an, liegt gut in der Hand und funktioniert wie es soll. Etwas negatives ist mir bislang noch nicht aufgefallen.

The media could not be loaded.  Der Handscanner wird mit einer Zuleitung von etwa 1,5 Meter sowie einer Anleitung und eines Entriegelungstools (Büroklammer) geliefert. Das Kabel hat an einem Ende einen USB-A Stecker für den PC, am anderen Ende einen RJ-45 Stecker, den man in den Griff des Scanners steckt. Der Stecker verschwindet dabei vollständig im Griff des Scanners und schließt diesen mit einem Gummipfropf ab. Zum späteren Abstecken des Scanners benötigt man dann die Büroklammer, die man aufgebogen in ein kleines Loch am Scanner steckt, um den RJ-45 Stecker zu entriegeln. Der Anschluss an ein Windows-System ist denkbar einfach: Einfach anstecken und der Scanner wird als weitere Tastatur erkannt. Testen lässt sich dies mittels Texteditor, wie zB dem Notepad von Windows. Nach einem Scanvorgang sendet der Scanner die erkannte Nummer, gefolgt von einem Enter, an die Position am PC, an der der Cursor gerade steht. Somit kann der Scanner universell auch ohne spezielle Software eingesetzt werden.

Der Scanner ist leicht zu bedienen und lässt sich komplett mit der Mitgelieferten Anleitung komplett Einrichten. Der Scanner wirkt trotz Plastik sehr gut verarbeitet und macht echt was her.Der Vorteil bei dem Gerät ist auch, das dies komplett Kabellos funktioniert und man somit volle Bewegungsfreiheit bekommt.Die Einbindung in Programme (z.B. Exel) lief einwandfrei ab. Das ganze gerät ist nur Plug and Play.Einziger Nachteil, beim Einstecken in den PC macht es ein sehr lautes Piep Geräusch was ein wenig Störend ist aber sich auch nicht Ausschalten lässt.
