Are We Human? Notes on an Archaeology of Design

A great and challenging read
Books on design are often so narrow and aimed at other designers, but this work is exceptional in it's scope, it's thoughfulness, and it's use of uncommon domains and other fields to explore what design means in this modern age.Highly recommended for anyone who works in design, or is curious about the way design and engineering have influenced the human experience.

Tomorrow's questions asked today.
Such a clever review of contemporary/near future topics that are pertaining to design (and more generally to society). Ecology, artificial intelligence, anthropocene, machine learning and much more.... those "big words" get an open-minded overview (with a little bit more about architecture than design, indeed). Short chapters, lots of examples provide a lively flow of thoughts that are never too abstract. Very good book to be recommended.

Book Binding came damaged
Small flaw, but still. When you order something brand new you expect it to come undamaged.

Great book but marred by stray mark on cover
Got this as a gift for friend but unfortunately the book has a ugly mark on the cover (see photo). It’s a wonderfully thought-provoking and generative contribution to research on design, the notion of the ‘human’, and the complexification of their relations.

I would absolutely recommend this to anyone and everyone, it’s a small book, but it is chock-full of incredibly interesting things.
