Really useful little gadget
I did a lot of research before buying this - and it had very few reviews, so it was a bit of a gamble. However, the presenter/mouse does exactly what it claims. I find the tracker mouse button really easy to use and quite responsive; flicking between mouse and Powerpoint presenter/laser is dead easy. It loads up really quickly (even on institutional PCs linked to a fire walled server)and works from any distance or angle in the lecture room. I was so impressed I wanted to add a review as soon as I had road tested it to encourage other people looking for a wireless presenter with mouse. I rarely use Powerpoint so the mouse was essential for me. My one fear is that I will forget to retrieve the USB transmitter - but couldn't blame the product for that. One day someone will invent one that beeps at you if you try to leave the room without it :) A carrying case would be nice but I improvised and have mine in a little cotton pouch decorated with pink roses that came with my favourite perfume - well at least it's noticeable!! :)

Not bad
Pros: Well it works. No drivers needed and it's a plug n play to windows XP and Vista (i tested it in both). The buttons do their job so is the mouse scroll. It is small and light weighted. The Laser is good and strong. The mouse or presenter operation can simplify your needs.Cons: The "connect" button is placed in the rear side so usually when i press connect i accidentally press 2-3 thousand other buttons of the presenter. For my taste the connect button is placed in the wrong side. The buttons are noisy. They make a strong clear CLICK when you press them so be prepared that clicks will be your primary sound effect when you make a presentation. Another con is that the 10 meters range may be true but in my case i found out that the receiver must have a clear view to the presenter in order to work. If you place the usb receiver in the rear side of a pc OR the pc is behind a desk there you have a big obstacle. I experienced cases with a bad connection even when the receiver was placed on a usb connection on the TOP of PC and there was a clear view with the presenter. Finally some may find the mouse speed (with the use of the scroll button) as too slow. I am not sure. If it was fast it would be difficult to be accurate. Now it's a little slower than it should so it takes a noticeable amount of time to move the mouse arrow from one side of the monitor to the other.Although i cannot say anything about it's endurance (let's hope it will keep working), the whole product seems like a good value for money. I would recommend it.

Small yet perfectly formed
We have used other presenter mice in the past and either they are too clunky or the buttons are too easy to press causing problems in a presentation. This works perfectly and the fact you can turn it off and when turning back on its ready to go straight away. storage of the USB connector inside the battery compartment is excellent and I can't fault the product..Its even been dropped a few times and works flawlessy, unlike others which broke on the first drop

Good while it lasted
I bought this as I couldn't face buying another Logitech after having lost two. Actually, I lost just one, but left the other's usb dongle somewhere which made it useless. Or almost; I now use just the laser pointer to entertain the cats. This Trust presenter works without software and has a good range. I found the 'joystick' lacked the fine control necessary for it to be any use as a mouse. It feels a bit cheap but comfortable enough to use with no risk of pressing the wrong thing at the wrong time. At least I managed not to lose it or the little usb dongle.Unfortunately though after 10 months of regular use, perhaps 150 hours worth, it became less responsive. More recently the 'back' button doesn't spring back into place so it's forwards only and intermittently. I see it is now priced about the same as a Logitech, so I've just ordered an alternative for around £10 to see how that goes.

More of these, please
This is the most comfortable, handy, ergonomic, easy to use presenter I have come across.I lost the first one I bought (2011), tried some others, but had to buy a second one of these (2014).Now I have lost that, too. I am really hoping that trust are going to continue this model.UpdateThis review does not refer to the product it is currently showing with. I Trust Preme Laser Presenter for PC, Laptop - Compatible with Powerpoint and Keynote t was for a previous version that was much simpler than this one. It had an on/off switch on one side and a mode switch on the other. There were only two large buttons for up/down or back/fwd (depending on mode), a touchpad a bit like a sunken game controller joystick, and a small hold down button for a laser pointer.

Great disappointment: it does not work
I purchased this following the glowing reviews on Amazon and sadly it was a great disappointment. My PC (Windows 7) recognised the USB receiver and installed the drivers (it uses standard Windows drivers) but the with the exception of the laser none of the handset functions worked. I spent a couple of hours checking that Windows had recognised the device and it was working, switched the battery and tried a second PC (Vista). There is a 'Connect' button on the handset but nothing on the dongle, and apparently pairing is automatic.I contacted Trust via their website and although they responded the next day the information was not of any help. I responded and again received a reply the following day from a different support person who also did not appear to have read my original fault report.I can only conclude that there is a communication problem between the handset and USB receiver. Based on the other reviews I must be unlucky but if you are thinking about purchasing this item I would think twice. I will purchase a suitable alternative from another manufacturer.

excellent presentation tool
i present weekly and this little gadget is the best aid I have ever invested in - powerpoint controls double up with [almost] fully functional mouse (but don't buy it as a replacement for one) AND a lazer pointer
