I decided a while ago that I was tired of the extra effort it took to use "big box" knives. I was thrilled to get this at such a great price! It went through a raw whole chicken like butter while I spatchcocked it. It took about 4 times of use before I had to sharpen it. I would definitely purchase this brand again. Instead of a sharpening rod, though, I think I'll get a whetstone.UPDATE Sept. 2019: I bought two knives in this purchase, and used them both. While cutting one day, one of the knives just snapped in half, blade and handle. Yes, these knives are all one piece of metal, so I never expected it to break. I called Amazon right away. Even though the period for return was long gone, I was sent a new knife and had to return the old one. Hopefully, it was just a manufacturing flaw and the other knife (and the new one) will not break. I took off two stars from my original 4-star rating.***UPDATE*** May 2020 After being sent a new knife because the other one broke, the new one just broke today while sharpening. Even though these knives are all one piece, there is obviously a design flaw close to where the blade and handle meet. That area can not stand the pressure of the force applied to sharpen the blade. Steer clear!

This is my very first review on a product even though I’ve shopped on Amazon for many years. This knife is so great that I have to write a review on it. It is so sharp and light that it’s my best knife ever. I got this on the lightning sale and I couldn’t believe the knife is so perfect for such a cheap price. This is my favorite knife. It’s only been 2 days of using the knife so far but I love it every time I use it. I highly recommend this product. I will definitely look for more from this brand!!!

This knife is outstanding. I purchased on CyberMonday and scored a major deal. The knife is extremely light weight, yet is beautifully weighted to fit perfectly in my hand. Blade has remained sharp for first month, with continuous use. I strongly recommend this knife as well as other TUO cutlery. Will most certainly purchase again.

Absolutely the best value Chef's knife I have ever bought. Beautiful elegant full tang design, great balance, and slices through everything like butter.
