Well made and carefully designed by people who clearly know their ‘hogs.Instructions suggested to move on if hadn’t been found by hedgehogs after 2 years. Three of our hedgehogs found ours within 2 hours of putting it out. The media could not be loaded.  Having retired in the first weeks of 2021, my wife and I had a garden makeover, for we intended making much more use with our extra leisure time, but with an emphasis on wildlife. We bought our first Hogilo in July, to which I added a Bird Box camera internally just near the entrance. All set up, with just a little straw added as encouragement, we expected no inhabitants until the following year. However, on 16 November, we were delighted to find an intending occupant building a nest! So pleased with this were we, that we bought a second Hogilo, which will be installed when the now obligatory camera arrives. All products evolve, and it was interesting to note the differences between the second Hogilo and the first. The finish quality has definitely improved, to the point where I wondered if the agricultural plastic was now being CNC cut. Also, our original Hogilo had a single group of three ventilation holes drilled in the side, whereas this latest one has three groups of three. Presumably, this will further aid ventilation for the hog inside, and is a measure the manufacturer has since found to be beneficial. Come next spring, I might add further holes similarly when the Hogilo has been vacated. We can thoroughly recommend these, and if you have the necessary skills to install and operate a camera, this is so rewarding. In terms of locating the Hogilo, we feel pretty sure that hogs prefer some seclusion as per the photo, rather than an open aspect. We also placed it off the ground on concrete blocks, as we had reservations about the longevity of the softwood battens on the underside of the Hogifo. Video is mobile footage taken of the originaf video on the DVR screen that the camera is cabled to, so not the best quality, but the content is what matters for review.

Well made and love it is made of recyclable materials. My only grip is that the roof is a bit flimsy. I have cats who use to like to sit on the top of my previous hedgehog house to sunbathe and I can imagine it breaking. My friend is cutting a bit of spare backing that goes at the back of a shower so it is waterproof for me to put on top, but it looks amazing, just hope it attracts the ickle hogs

The hedgehog house is brilliant, roomy , roof swings round to open, , fits in the area in my garden I have my hoggies visit.The delivery was very fast, didn’t expect it to arrive so quickly, arrived within a few days of ordering. Packaged well , very pleased with it and service, just want my visitors to use it, advised on instructions to set it up, and leave for 6 months before checking.

Bought this following YouTube reviews, I have a good quality hedgehog house already but this is definitely the best out there. Well made, plenty of room for hogs. Yes it is expensive for a hedgehog house but I believe it will last many years. Amazon pay offer was a factor when choosing (easier to justify the outlay for another hog house) I am hoping to have resident hog in situ shortly. Definitely happy to recommend.

So please with this a bit pricey but worth it

This is the 2nd time I've purchased this product for spare home for another hedgehog.Ive have a resident living in it for some time now and she seems very happy and content and appears to have no interest in moving. I was advised to get a product like this from a hedgehog centre. As I've found a few young hedgehogs over the years.The product needs to be placed on a concrete Base/ slab to stop the dampness rising as they don't like a damp nest.My 1St purchase was approximately 2 yrs ago and still as good as new. It's placed in a very secure area at the base of a conifer tree which protects the hedgehog from the rain and a shed beside the tree which protects the hedgehog from the wind. She comes out every night, the slightest noise she runs back to safety in her home. Would highly recommend this product is made well and design protects them from predators. Good value for money.

I’ve ticked everything five stars, thinking as a hedgehog and a me I would say it’s really well built it’s got to be waterproof, & it looks really well (if I was a hedgehog I might have it possibly a darker green) and has got to be better than than having a nest made of sticks and leafs etc I’d hazard a guess. So yes from a hedgehogs point of view I’d say my new house was great. Thanks to the guy that brought it who got brownie points from his wife. 😘

The media could not be loaded.  Après avoir regardé toutes les cabanes à des prix inférieurs, j'ai préféré payer un peu plus pour un abri pas trop petit (comme on lit souvent dans les commentaires) et de bonne qualité. Je ne suis pas déçue. Celle-ci est très jolie, spacieuse, bien conçue, les finitions sont de bonne qualité. Elle vaut son prix. Je l'ai recouverte d'herbe et de feuilles pour le camouflage et elle a été visitée le soir même ! Je la recommande !

Das Igelhaus ist sehr gut verarbeitet und sieht auch wetterfest aus. Wir haben mehrere Igel im Garten und verschiedene Igel-Häuser bestellt. Haben Papier auf dem Boden ausgelegt, Floh-pulver eingestreut und das Innere etwas mit zerknülltem Zeitungspapier gefüllt. Letztens hat es gehustet, als ich daran vorbeigekommen bin, so dass ich davon ausgehe, dass es bereits bewohnt wird. Möchte nicht den Deckel aufmachen, um den Igel nicht zu verschrecken. Es hat seinen Zweck also vollständig erfüllt.

j'ai plusieurs hérissons qui visitent mon jardin depuis quelques années, dont un qui a hiberné sous un tas de bois, j'ai tenté de leur construire des maisons a base de cagettes , branches et bois mort avec un succès limité. Cette maison cachée sous les bambous a été occupée en seulement quelques jours. J'y ai placé du foin et quelques feuilles mortes , le hérisson l'a vite localisée et il y dort maintenant la journée depuis plus d'une semaine. très très contente de cet achat . Maison solide, étanche offrant un abri sur ! Super !

Ich hatte schon einige Igelhäuser - natürlich um einiges günstiger - und war echt am überlegen, ob ich so viel Geld für eines ausgeben soll. Letztendlich habe ich gleich 2 bestellt und: es kann nichts Besseres geben! Sehr gut verarbeitet!!! Ich bin begeistert und hoffe, dass spätestens im Herbst ein Igel einzieht.Noch ein Wort zum Preis. Er ist aufgrund der Qualität wirklich gerechtfertigt. Zudem sind die Häuser handgefertigt (steht zumindest dabei). Wer billig kauft, kauft oftmals doppelt. Diese Erfahrung habe ich gemacht und kann für mich sagen, dass ich diesen Kauf nicht bereut habe.
