SIB Battery Charger+Cord for Dell Inspiron 1520 1525 710M

NOT SURGE PROTECTOR READY.but i just dont let my comp get to 100% or 0%. i just got it. when i got it out of the box it felt so light. like nothing was in the charge box. i was worried. but when i plugged it in, it worked. dell inspiron 1525. holla. this laptop likes me. still stays with me. 2 serious crashes, several high drops from the bed to the ground, my mom forcing me to give it to her so she can act like she knows what the hell she is doing. ugh she partitioned my pc man! im in college now so when i go home for Christmas i always say i forgot my laptop and i hide it. oooh, i spilt water on it. i have gotten saw dust and nerds in the keys. i have a sticker on the mouse pad, and it is da bomb. and this charger is so cheap. i tried to buy a universal one from yucky best buy, just so i could use my comp before the mail came in. it was 65 bucks and didnt even work, even though the manual said it was compatible with my pc. best buy sucks. amazon is good.

Product performs just like one that cost 3 to 4 times. But second one I have purchased in last 5 years.

I purchased this charger for my Dell Inspiron 1520. Upon recieving the item, it was much larger than the manufacturers, much thinner materials, and it doesn't wrap up in itself like the original. When plugged in, a green light illuminates, and the computer recognizes being plugged in. So it does exactly what its designed to do. A note to buyers though: Even moreso than with the original, this charger must have plenty of air circulation around it. The first time i charged my laptop, the adapter was sitting on my couch seat. After an hour, I picked it up, and I immediately dropped it on the ground. The adapter was EXTREMELY HOT! The thin material helped it to cool off in about 3 minutes though and I was able to put it back in my case.

This charger was well worth the money. Very affordable and the product works very well, almost, if not exactly, as well as the one that Dell makes, but much cheaper than buying one of theirs. Not to say that this product is made cheaply, it is a little bit bigger than the origanal, but not by much, and maybe a bit thinner plastic for the base of the unit, but defenatly not fragile. This Ac adaptor does have a three pronged plug instead of the origanal's two prongs. Input is 100-240 volts~2.4amps 50/60Hrz, Output is 19.5v =3.34 amps. Overall, Very good buy for a replacment.

The charger does power my 1525 but it does not charge it. After reading several reviews for different adapters and/or chargers it appeared that adapters didn't always charge the laptop. That is why I went with this product as the title of the product includes "CHARGER". Guess the name distinction does not make a difference. My battery will not charge. Also the picture shows a 2 prong cord but I received a 3 prong. I have since purchased another "adapter" (different vendor) that appears to be the exact same, but this time I got a 2 prong cord. The battery still will not charge so I think my battery might just be dead.So as far as powering the laptop, this adapter/charger works well.

I was in great need of a new a/c adapter/charger for my laptop and not a lot of money to work with. This definitely charges my laptop, the cord is long enough to work with...only thing is it gets REALLY HOT. My IT guy at work said all a/c adapters should not be left plugged in all the time, so I unplug it at night or all day while i'm at work cause of the heat it puts out, just to play it safe. Like my title says - it does the job, i just am being very careful because I dont know the actual quality of the item. But until I have more money to get a better one, at least it charges my battery.

Ordered the charger hesitantly after reading about problems some had with it. My original charger AC worked and ran the computer but would not charge the battery. I started using another dell charger I had and it worked for a couple of weeks. It then did the same thing the original charger did and stopped charging the battery. I am happy to say this charger has been working for 6 weeks without a problem. Charger is well built and has a 3 prong grounding plug. My original was a 2 prong plug. Not sure if that makes a difference. For 9 dollars it was a great investment!

Anyone that has had a laptop for a while knows that the batter charger cable can get broken or split.. as with mine.. I got tired of taping the cable, so. I finally got onto Amazon.com and ordered this cable..It's a really nice charger, I'm have been happy with it.. it seems pretty sturdy.. more so than the one that originally came with the laptop.I would recommend this battery charger and cable for anyone in need of a new one or maybe you just want to have an extra one for those "just in case" moments.. you know what I'm talking about :-)
