Amazing value! Surprising little beast! DSD Playback!
So I bought this thing for giggles, basically I wanted something I could throw some high res audio files on that had the ability to pair to Bluetooth. For $49 I figured I would give it a go.Initial impressions:Feels like a toySmallTouch screen not accurate or my fingers are too big, probably the latterI popped in a 128gb card from my Fiio X1, launched the HiBy app. I told it to scan the 128gb card and it did so unbelievably fast and picked up everything on it. The interface is nice, I can do what I need to in it, browse folders, play a folder, etc. Poking around the settings here is where it gets really interesting!I noticed it had options for DSD playback, native, dop, etc. I thought, no way this thing for $49 can play back DSD! I set out to do an experiment, let me load up a 512gb micro sd card with a bunch of different formats and see if it can play them. Wow I was floored! This thing for $49 could play all of these in addition to what is listed in the description of the device:DSD, DSF, ISO &, M4A!It can actually play these formats without issue:DSD256 - 11.28MhzDSD128 - 5.64MhzDSD64 - 2.82MhzSACD ISOM4A - 16/44FLAC 24-16, 24-44, 24-96, 24-192MP3 cbr, vbrSo on to the sound, it is really good, output is ok. Can it drive planar magnetics, not really, can it drive most other normal headphones, yes! Bluetooth works, it sounds good through my HA-FW1000t's, sounds good through my JVC HA-SW01's, Koss Porta Pros, AKG-K240, Creative Aurvana Lives, Tin Audio T2's.What I wish it had:balanced output, 2.5 or 4.4Line output modeFor $49 I really really can't fault it for not having those items, well maybe line output mode, maybe I am missing that in settings.I wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't start showing up on audio influencer channels like zReviews

Great value and features for MP3 Player! Impressive
This is a cool touchscreen device! It is better than my older/basic Ruizu MP3.What I like:- Nice looking display! Easily navigate like smartphone.- Smaller than I thought but on plus side it's portable.- Fast charging USB, which I love on my other devices.- Easily connects to Bluetooth ear buds, sounds great. I like the 'Bass Boost.'- 16GB is a decent space for songs, and the microSD slot allows much more.- Love that you can change the background and font. Screen auto-rotates too.- Haven't tried the 1080p video...but it is nice to have just in case you need it.- Has a lot of features of a very small smart phone but mainly using for music.

Piece of antiquated equipment.
I’m really disappointed with this. I know I’m working with old technology, but I really expected it to work better than it does. The first and foremost issue is getting it to be recognized by my computer. If you ever get it to connect. You’d better get everything on it right then, because you may never get it to connect again. I even purchased two of these just to make sure I had the correct cord to connect it with. It didn’t matter. The connection is still sketchy at best. The touch screen is ok, but can be confusing at times (two different ways to play songs). I’m in constant need of music, but making playlists is nigh to impossible. DON’T BUY THIS PLAYER. SPEND A FEW MORE DOLLARS AND GET ONE THATS EASIER TO CONNECT, EASIER TRANSFER, and more modern than this one.

Nice audio, but Bluetooth connectivity sucks! No firmware update available either!
Sound quality is truly awesome, no doubt about it. But I have this device for few weeks now, still cannot connect with my Anker Soundcore Sport X10 bluetooth headphones. It just doesn't find the headphones no matter what I do. Also, my Windows 10 computer doesn't find the device when connected via a USB cable. I visited the Oilsky website to download a firmware, but they only have a firmware for another of their devices, not this one. Also, their instructions are very difficult to follow. I might return it and get the Timmkoo Q5 instead, which seems to have a better Bluetooth connectvity.

It does what it says, but...[Updated]
*UPDATE*I was able to get in touch with the company through Amazon and they were very kind and concerned about my issue. They offered a few suggestions and when none of them resolved the problem, they were quick to send me a replacement. I got the replacement within a day or so and I have found no problems with this one. The SD card that wouldn't work in the first one works just fine in the new one and I was able to get music on it and play both music and video files with no issue. It seems like everything else that should work does as well, though I haven't yet tried connecting it to my car. Overall, while I am still a bit upset that I must have gotten a bad/incomplete device initially, I am extraordinarily pleased at the company's quick response and dedication to resolving the issue. I am amending my review to reflect the wonderful customer service and the resolution to my original problem.Original Review:My iPod Touch died a few weeks ago after many years of faithful service and I was looking for a device to replace it, preferably one that played music and video in multiple file formats. I came across this one for a relatively cheap price to others I found and thought I'd give it a shot. For the price and size, it works relatively well. I was able to transfer some music files over from my computer, notably in different formats, and had no problems playing them (I didn't try the video output). My biggest concern was that it would be unable to play music I downloaded from iTunes, but I had no issue with any of the music files With a bit of effort I was also able to connect via Bluetooth to my computer and a portable speaker; I did not have the opportunity to see if it would connect to my car's speakers. The user interface is a little clunky and counter-intuitive, but being an Android user, I didn't find it ridiculously hard and with some practice I would probably get the hang of it.My biggest problem is that the device says it will accept SD cards for storage expansion, but I've been unable to figure out how to do that. I purchased a 128 GB card, formatted it on my computer, and transferred music and video files to the card with no problem. The issue is the device is not discovering the SD card. I've looked in the File Manager and everywhere else I can think of, but the card is not there. I've tried it with the player plugged into the computer and not; I've reformatted that card; I formatted and tried a smaller SD card with only a single music file on it and nothing. Nothing I've Googled has yielded answers and there is no way to format the device itself to see if that resolves the issue. I doubt it's the card since it reads just fine on my computer but it could be a defective player as I did have some difficulty putting the microSD card in the slot. I am at a loss of what to try next and have reached out to try to get some resolution. If not, I will probably return the player since I will only be able to play a fraction of the files I'd like to. If I manage to get it working, I will update this review. It does what it says it does, as long as you don't want more storage space.

Facile d'utilisation

A great little MP3 Player and Outstanding Customer Service
My Ipod died so bought this. I have to say its great not only is it an MP3 player it has lots of other handy functions clock calendar calculator radio. The sound quality is good the only thing is at full volume it is not that loud. It is easy and intuitive to use and comes with 2 MP3 players. It can handle M3U playlists it finds them and puts them in a folder in the MP3 player. The SD card works well, my advice is use a San Disk card. It connected easily to my blue tooth speaker and the built in browser was useful for things like Spotify. What was really outstanding was the Oilsky customer support. I have never seen a better service. Once my order was placed they sent a nice email with FAQ's to get you off to a good start Their customer support representative Melanie was very quick to respond, knowledgeable and very helpful at resolving issues. Based on all this I can really recommend this as a good priced MP3 player
