An excellent book for additional practice questions (moderate, hard, and very hard)
This is an excellent book if you are desiring both additional practice questions but also for more challenging questions that might not otherwise be in most books. It gives questions in the "easy", "moderate", "hard", and "very hard" categories, which is very useful. I just finished going through this book for the first time and overall, have found it very useful and I'm glad I bought it. I'm planning on going back through it again, time permitting. It's good to be aware that if you are starting your math studies at the beginning or need to review basic steps, DO NOT use this book first. This book does assume that you have a moderate knowledge of the topics covered in this book. With that said, this book is great for taking it to the next level of difficulty.I ordered the regular book and found little to no errors overallalthough it sounds like the kindle version is full of errors. Do yourself a favor just order the real, paper book. [It's unfortunate that those who got the error-laden kindle version give this book a poor review as it really is a great book for taking your math practice to the next level.]Finally, here are the other books that I have been using for my GRE review (in order of usage):1. CliffsNotes Math Review for Standardized Tests(Excellent for those who have not done math in a long time.It starts real slow and is a nice pace.) CliffsNotes Math Review for Standardized Tests (CliffsTestPrep) 2. Barron's New GRE, 19th Edition(has an excellent review of tips and tricks for the revisedGRE math section) Barron's New GRE, 19th Edition (Barron's GRE) 3. Nova's GRE Math Prep Course GRE Math Prep Course (Nova's GRE Prep Course) For those of you already good at math, you could probably skip the Cliff Notes and proceed to Barron's and Nova's. Good luck!

Valuable prep, but insufficient by itself
This book is definitely not perfect; it is long and unwieldy and it doesn't focus enough on strategies for quickly brute-forcing your way through questions using logic and knowledge of basic math rules. That said, I am incredibly glad I bought it. I credit this book with giving me the tools to improve my GRE math score by more than 150 points. This book gives you an amazingly solid grounding in the basics,(although you have to be willing to commit a lot of time to studying it), after which you will be well-prepared to reason your way through some of the GRE questions that demand a more quick-thinking approach. Also, to be honest, I feel my many hours spent on this book just made me better at math in general. In response to the poster below who felt that the book sprang practice questions on the reader without providing adequate preparation in the math review section, in fact the question explanations were some of the most valuable learning tools in the book. It is much easier to understand how to do a problem by doing it, failing, reading the explanation, and trying again, than by simply reading a blurb.Again, there are definite drawbacks to this book. Little to no review of basic operations (I had to re-learn how to divide decimals on my own!)and an insufficient discussion of strategy. Also, there are certain math questions on the test that come up again and again and are very easy to miss unless you know the 'trick,' and this book was by and large not good at warning you how to do them.I would suggest, in order, working through the free online "Sparknotes" guide to GRE math, then quickly skimming through the Princeton Review guide to the GRE, then doing this book, then doing practice tests and referring back to this book to understand any questions you miss on practice tests. Of course, most people will not be starting from such a terrible math background as I had, but this rather lengthy process worked well for me.

As someone who is pretty good at math
I bought this in addition to a popular general GRE review book. I'm competent at math but hadn't done algebra and geometry by hand since the beginning of high school. Note that having done calculus and/or statistics in college probably won't help you with the GRE math, which includes a lot of hand computation, basic number theory, and geometry properties (but not trig) that you won't have done since middle school. This book has chapters sorted by math topic. There are also a few sections on test strategies, but the focus is on reviewing the actual math rather than guessing strategies (unlike in the general review book I had). There are a ton of practice problems with each chapter, more than I could do in my time frame of around 2 months. Many of the "Hard" problems are harder than what you'll typically get on the test (even if you score perfectly on the first section), and I didn't even bother with most of the "Very Hard" extra problems, since they take too long to do in the amount of time per question you have on the test. (Make sure to practice math problems under timed conditions. As someone who is pretty good at math, time was by far my limiting factor.) There are also some chapters on topics you probably don't need to review unless you're going for a perfect score - e.g. permutations. I think it's best to focus study on the general number properties, algebra, and geometry questions that appear frequently on the test and can be solved quickly. This is an excellent book if you need to brush up on basic math and work lots of practice problems to improve your speed.

Amazing Book
I really wish I had bought this book before I bought any other. It's superior to any GRE book on the market. I am absolutely amazed at how great and thorough the material and the questions presented here are and I think it should be at the top of the list for anyone who wishes to take the GRE. LOVE IT!

essential
Essential to achieve high scores in the quantitative section. It has the more difficult problems students are looking for and they are well organised in sections by subject

Three Stars
Some of the tables for the questions don't really work in the kindle format.

Excelente material para estudiar GRE Math
Me gusto mucho porque los ejercicios son desafiantes y similares a los que pueden venir en un GRE test.
