This chimney sheep is very efficient at keeping cold air and draughts from making the room feel cold. The effect is immediate. Possibly a little challenging to fit - but once in position it makes a very positive difference on a cold winter day! It arrived very quickly after ordering.

The product is very well made and once you understand how to insert it fits well and really does keep out drafts.

Didn't realise how much air gets drawn in through a chimney... this works really well. Easy to install and it just sits there, bit of a wiggle to get back out but my chimney is quite thin where it sits best,l. And I didn't get covered in soot!!

It’s the next best thing to training an actual Herdwick to wedge herself up your flue. Well designed and made with optional handle extension and simple instructions - all good. Positioning and selecting the right size is key - but I’m optimistic ours will prove to be a trusty purchase. Take care with handling and storage as it will obviously brush up against all the soot coating your flue.

This works well (we bought another of a different size to fit another chimney). Our chimneys didn't have any way of stopping cold downward drafts, but this very much did the trick. Just stuff it up the chimney through the fireplace and it makes a snug seal. Obviously, pull it back out before you start a fire! It comes with a handy little sheep card to remind you to do that!

We have an old disused flu which was once used for a gas fire - my partner and I had many discussions about whether to buy the circular type which would have had to be placed right up inside (hard to reach area). Or try plug the middle area easier to reach but an odd shape/fit would have been an issue. In the end I ordered the largest rectangular type and carefully gently plugged the immediate open space. So far it is working great and does exactly what it says preventing cold air entering, debris falling down and wind noise eliminated. Fit isn’t perfect as product is larder than the area measured but I think that’s exactly what u need and how it works best. Would highly recommend.

Seemed ok but keeps falling down if it gets windy outside - I don’t get it as it fits well

This has done the job. I had to fiddle around to position it, but I could feel the difference immediately. I really like the hanging tag that reminds you it’s in the chimney.
