Certainly as advertised
Bought this in September and finally got around to installing it/ testing it on a new solar panel config, with batteries in late October. The MPPT was clearly faulty and didn't see the incoming solar panel feed. Contacted the retailer and after discussion, got a replacement. The whole process, although a little lengthy was very good. The retailer was helpful, honest and easy to work with.I bought this MPPT after researching the various brands available. This one was highly rated, as was the company, PowMr, that manufactures them. Notably, their range of products implies that they're specialists in Solar Chargers. The replacement MPPT works flawlessly and is very responsive. Discovered that 12 volt panels dont provide enough voltage to charge 12 volt batteries on an overcast day. Put panels into pairs, running each pair in series, and multiple pairs in parallel then fed the output into the mppt to achieve 37 volts input. Batteries now charge on overcast days. It's a very good unit for the price. Selecting battery type is easy and it does exactly what it says on the tin.

Not the best
Seems cheaply made, probably cheap circuit components since such a low pricePackaged well & tidy terminal connections which is a positive!Negative points - the manual wasn't informative whatsoever with no instructions on how to read/use the unitthe unit didnt go into boost mode & I saw no increase in voltage even though my panels array was in direct sinlightIMO you're better off spending the extra ££ and avoiding chinese MPPTs
