Yes, they are tightly vacuumed.They didn't fully expand as quickly as you would except. After a couple of days I did think I was Initially disappointed because of that. They still had an oval shape, not round.Then, some days later I was getting something near where I had put them and they looked fully expanded. No more loose, wrinkly cover over an oval. So I picked one up to check...It was exactly what I've been trying to find. The foam is very firm... and round, which I wanted. Maybe that's why it took longer to expand, because it is very dense.It is a lighter shade of grey than shown, but it's a pretty shade... I personally like it better.Have purchased a second set. If the process of expanding fails I will update this review.

Got these for my husband to put under his knees when sitting on the chaise lounge part of our sofa, to help relieve back pain. These are smaller than I had expected, but they are soft and seem to do the job. One goes under each knee. Shop more if you are looking for a larger size.

I have had these for a little while now and they have met all expectations except size. They are indeed smaller than you might think.

Only one decompressed to about 1/2 of advertised circumference, the other one stayed flat. Not worth the money. I got one that I really like at a Flying J truck stop while traveling which is absolutely perfect. Will just buy another one from there when I'm on the road again. Will be returning these for sure.
