I'm not sure how Amazon selects review request emails, I don't feel like an expert here. Perhaps it is through low review numbers as others are having the same difficulty as me with reviewing this product. I'm going to provide my experience anyway as I've been buying more stuff on Amazon lately and other people's reviews have helped me. Perhaps others use these belts in the same way I do.I very rarely use my belt sander free-hand. If I do the belts snap long before the abrasive surface has deteriorated and I end up with a very high quality piece of sandpaper. I've been though all tension and angle adjustments and various branded and not branded belts. They all snap at the glue. In truth it's a very poorly engineered system. An electric planer for rough removal followed by an eccentric orbital sander for fine work is much better combination, providing a much better finish, if rather a lot slower.I use the sander locked upside down on the bench. Finer work can impact on smaller areas of the belt and then the qualty of the abrasive surface is important. The bonding here is fine, the cloth will often wear out before the surface comes away.I did a price search, these were the cheapest when I bought them and they are as good as any others I have used. Perhaps those with better free-hand belt-sanding technique will tell you otherwise? I've no idea. I am happy with these and will buy again.Arrived on time. Packaged in fives, but actually wrapped, not just a loop around the middle. Sorry Greta, but this is necessary to prevent unnoticeable wear and damage in storage and transit.

I get through a lot of these things and these are up there with the best of them. Stable in use, no wandering about, no tears, no splits and best of all ... when they get a bit blunt you can put them on backwards and it's like they are sharp again.
