My company purchased two of these systems in early summer of 2019 and paid substantial money for the installation and setup. Months later, the DVRs have never been functional in terms of key features such as external backup and can't even be accessed except short-term through my phone. One of the video cameras died within a month or two as well.We've been in touch DOZENS of times with the company via email (There is no phone number.) who didn't bother replying for several weeks and then insisted that we repeat the same steps that didn't work previously and that I'd spent 12 hours and counting doing with Amazon tech. support, who took pity on us after all of our failed outreach attempts to Defeway.Finally we hear back from "Mia," who promises that she will send replacements if we want them. I accept. Weeks go by without a response. Then they resurface with an apology for the delay, state that they're not sending replacements unless we go through their manual again, and disappear again. I insist that they honor their offer and support their product as my partner, an electrical engineer, has now spent numerous hours trying to troubleshoot as well using their manual and useless emails to no avail. In disgust, I hand over communications to my partner to focus on actually running our business.Seven months later, and numerous outreach attempts, we have yet to receive a single replaced component or even a response.This company is a joke. The technical support is non-existent. Last year they were pretending to have a branch in the USA, which they clearly don't. They go weeks without responding to requests for help, don't honor their promises, and ignore customers when they feel like it.I am formally requesting that Amazon stop selling their products. As you can see from other people's reviews, Defeway neither provides support for its products nor provides exchanges for clearly defective components that are extremely expensive and cares nothing about how their actions impact other people's businesses.
