Eureka. Just what I was after.
I managed to split one of these in the process of fitting my mudguards onto the bike by using countersunk screws and tightening them too much. Lesson learned, use a normal flat head screw with a wee washer under it. I used a ty wrap to secure my new mudguard, safe in the knowledge that I would never find a replacement for the broken piece. Messing about on Amazon I done a search for this and was delighted to find exactly the right bit to replace the broken one I had. A couple of minutes to fit and it's as good as new :-). I guarantee there are people with broken ones of these who have not discovered that they are available, maybe a national advertising campaign would help, but at a couple of quid each, maybe not worth their while ;-))). I bought a few spares too as both my bikes use full mudguards, so I should be ok for a bit. Delighted with product and quick postage.

No need to throw away your old mudguards
Once I had established what mudguards were on my Galaxy 2008 bicycle I searched the internet to discover the actual name of the part. Although expensive it means you don't have to go out and buy a brand new pair of costly mudguards. Excellent purchase.

Easy to fit and quick delivery.
Managed to break one of these on the front mudguard. Initial thought was that I was going to have to buy a replacement guard. but after ploughing through the internet for some ideas, I came across this. Easy to fit, comes with new nut and bolt. Fast delivery. (I have a Dawes bike)

difficult fitting
I bought this to replace a broken attachment to the front fork - it required a good deal of cutting and bending to fit onto the old struts, but it has remained stable since then.

Exactly what I was looking for
Having broken one of these which was attaching my mudguard spoke on my bike to the wheel while transporting my bike in a car, I didn't think I'd find a replacement because I had no idea what it would be called. After a lot of searching, I finally found it: a 'Universal Bracket For Adjusting Full Length Mudguards'. I still think 'mudguard bracket thingy' would be more catchy.
