Flexcut SK106 Craft Carver Set - 5 Piece, Brown

Nice and sharp straight out of the box. Good quality and a very good beginners kit. tried other cheaper versions purporting to be ''carving tools'' but they were not up to this standard and a complete waste of money. Also bought a flexcut contoured strop for re polishing the cutting edges and was not surprised to find that it was also excellent quality and easy to use. Highly recommended.

Straight out of the box I was carving a cherry spoon and pine, not that I am an expert, just starting, but compared to the cheap set I already had this is far better. It goes through the wood as it was butter.I am very pleased with this product.Changing the blades is fine, I use gloves just in case but does not need much effort. The handle is plastic but seems very strong and the grip is nice and hasn't slipped so far.The bag although being plastic is nice and allows me to store it in a small box so the children will not reach it.It comes with a small sample to start practicing, nice for the novice.

Don't know much about carving tools, but these seem like good ones for price. Getting the cutting tools in and out of the handle takes some skill and muscle (and skin...cut my finger already) so I'd invest in some gloves or chainmail - basically, if the experts say 'get this protective thingumy, or that essential doodad', buy it. Don't cut corners unless it be wood corners.Now I've gotten the basic set though, I think I'd have liked the full range of shapes and sizes, but good for dipping your toe in.Oh, and in case it's not obvious from the photo, it comes with a practice block and design, nice touch.

i bought these to do some carving on walking sticks and they are very easy to use, make sure you get yourself some cut resistant gloves too, easy to insert and remove the chisels from the handle and the roll has enough spaces to add more parts as required, it is advisable to buy the honing guide at the same time

I received the tools well in advance of the predicted date.Well packed.I ordered these for a member of my woodcarving class, and I would recommend these to anyone keen on this hobby.

more knives needed this is a very good probuct but a knife would havebeebpartof the deal a knife should be part of thr kit
