Written by and starring Jimmy Nail, Crocodile Shoes followed the life of Jed Shepperd, a Geordie factory worker who writes country music in his spare time. The TV series was broadcast on BBC 1 in 1994, attracting audiences of 8 million, while the accompanying album sold a million copies. This clamshell box set contains the original album with songs by Jimmy Nail and Prefab Sprout’s Paddy McAloon (songs not recorded by Prefab Sprout), plus seven bonus tracks (one previously unreleased) and a new booklet note by Jimmy himself. The two DVDs feature all seven episodes of Series 1, also starring James Wilby, Melanie Hill and Alex Kingston.
