Do not work
Connected Chrombook's Linux vm. Found device connected to Linux with > lsusb. Found device bane/dev/ttyUSB0. Looped TX and Rx on device. Tested with > sudo screen /dev/ttyUSB0 115200. Typed characters did not show in the screen program. Same results for all their devices. May be a chip incompatibility.

It works well with Jetson TX2
Best buy.

Works fine, but needs labels and better QC
This is a three pack of USB to serial converters. Unlike many I've encountered, they are a fully enclosed component without any configuration jumpers or switches - it's permanently set to 3.3V as both the power supply and logic voltage. The ends are terminated in individual female one pin Dupont 0.1" header connectors.I deducted a star for two small flaws. The first is that I wish the pinouts were labeled on the cables themselves - you have to refer back to the Amazon listing to know which is which. Red is VCC and black is GND; green is TXD and white is RXD (both relative to the host computer, not the device). The devices are also not labeled with their voltage, so if you don't write 3.3V on them with a pen before absorbing them into your lab, you'll forget which voltage they operate on and could end up damaging a device by grabbing the wrong converter. The other flaw is that one arrived with a damaged Dupont connector - it was entirely missing the housing, which was nowhere to be found in the packaging. Fortunately, I keep spares on hand in my lab, so it wasn't hard to repair - but this is a pretty big oversight and is reflective of questionable QC practices. From a functionality perspective, these work fine - no complaints. They're no better or worse than other serial converters I've used. At the price point, they're a good value, but the lack of any sort of labeling and the poor manufacturing on the connectors keeps them from being a new favorite, and I might try a different vendor's converters next time.

They work + no separate driver installation for Windows 11
I have been playing around with microcontrollers recently and found that these looked attractive since they are integrated with the USB connector. They are based around the Prolific PL2303 USB-UART controller. Unlike the CP2102 USB-UART integrated into my NodeMCU ESP32S, there are no separate drivers to install, and it just showed up as a "Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port" in the device manager on Windows 11 2H22.Like:- USB connector integration- No need to install driver- Length is good for its purpose- Works as expectedDislikes:- No 5v/3.3v selectorIn my photos I have an ESP8285 (Tuya TYWE2S), pulled from a generic smart plug that I mounted to a board. These are 3.3v parts and USB provides 5v, so I had to run through a voltage regulator to power it up.As you can see from the photos, I used this adaptor to successfully upload the ESP8266 WiFi scanner example using the Arduino IDE. The scanner located my ESP32S that was acting as an access point.Bottom line, these are great for 5v applications, just be aware that you need to regulate the voltage for some MCUs. Don't forget and accidently fry a 3.3v part!

RX is working but no TX
I was not able transmit any data, when connected to laptop it receives data but doesn't transmit. Its description says 3.3V and that's what I assume. I just tried this and it is outside of the return period. Waste of money.

3.3V!!! Be careful how you use these!
Being an electronics hobbyist and microcontroller afficionado, USB to TTL serial converters are used quite a lot for various things. That said, these are made for 3.3V TTL, so they shouldn't be used with 5V TTL circuitry without proper interfacing. I keep both 5V and 3.3V TTL converters on hand and make sure they are well marked so mistakes aren't made and the magic smoke doesn't get released! these seem to work well with the proper drivers on both my Windows and Linux machines. Highly recommended.

Inexpensive and do the job
This came in free of charge through the Amazon Vine program. I’ve had no direct contact with Amazon Vine or the manufacturer and these opinions are my own. These are inexpensive and having 3 is good for when I inevitably misplace them or strip the connectors off and direct solder because I'm impatient. I'm just a hobbyist and these work fine for me.
