Great for the price!
Pros: Inexpensive, Made out of sturdy material, comes with 3 attachments, very easy to use and cleanCons: Hard to grasp smaller sized vegetables, gets dirty much quicker due to white colorI decided I wanted to get healthier. I love vegetables, so what's better than "spiralizing" your favorite vegetables? Due to cost, I decided to choose this particular brand. This spiral slicer works very well for it's purpose. The box comes with the base, vegetable holder, and 3 slicer attachments, one that makes a "spaghetti-like" size, one that make a "fettuccine-like" size, and one that makes a wider, but thinner size... almost like a potato chip. The instructions weren't the easiest to read, as they were printed on a sheet of paper, almost similar to a black and white photo copy. The pictures were very hard to make out. Despite this being the case, the spiral slicer is very straight forward and easy to use. You don't really need directions to figure out how to use the product.I've used all 3 attachments on an array of vegetables that I enjoy. The spiral slicer works best with vegetables that aren't mushy or hollow on the inside (tomatoes, or spaghetti squash, etc). The slicer works best with vegetables that are "thick" with a firm skin (summer squash, zucchini, potatoes, sweet potatoes, broccoli stems, cucumbers, etc.)Please be aware that you should try to buy larger sized vegetables. I find that the plastic spikes that the vegetables attach to, in order to keep it in place as you turn the handle, cannot grab smaller sized vegetables that well. I also noticed that this product stains quite easily, especially with darker pigment vegetables. I still have noticeable orange stains on the spikes from the sweet potatoes. I don't particularly mind, but I do believe it's something to note.Cleaning the attachments are very easy to manage, however cleaning the spikes require a bit more labor. All in all, for the price of this product, I'd say this was a good buy. This spiral slicer gets the job done just like the other high-end brands, but for more than half the cost. It is extremely easy to use and the 3 attachments allows you to change up the style of your vegetables. If you don't mind purchasing larger sized vegetables, and don't mind the labor involved in cleaning the plastic spikes, then this one is for you. I'm personally elated with my purchase. This is an honest review. I purchased this item with my own money, and wanted to give honest feedback. I hope this helps!

So big and bulky
This thing is super light, so light it feels fragile, but it isn't. I find it actually takes up more space than I would like, and while easy to use it's a hassle to assemble and slice things... It does what it says and does it well, and it's affordable so 4 stars for that. I also take the flat blade off (for spirals) and have used as a mandolin before so that is a nice perk. Oh and be REALLY careful, while the whole thing seems cheap, those blades are NOT. They are very heavy duty and sharp. I have cut myself a couple of times on this thing quite nasty, so pay attention lol

Not perfect but fun anyway!
You want curly noodles from zucchini? Want a unit that has three blades that can be stored within the unit?Want a low cost manual unit that is easy to use and clean. This is it.I think it's a whole lot of fun and it's giving me variety in the way I eat raw veggies. There is no manual of pages to show you the ropes. The the box has some colorful and good ideas for it's use.I love this plastic unit!

Great for the price
it does what it says it will do but it could be better. It feels cheap and I worry it will break easily but I do like the spiral cuts with zucchini, cucumbers and apples (which is all I've done so far). The handles feel a bit flimsy and the suctions could stick better. also be aware that it's not dishwasher safe. With all that said..it does do the job and if you want to eat more veggies this is a fun tool to help with that.

Replacement part promptly sent
We were liking so much the cucumber and squash dishes that we made using this tool. But after less than one month of use, slicing only cukes and squash, the plastic of the crank handle attachment end just crumbled into 3 or 4 pieces. However, Kitchista promptly replaced the handle; very good service. The body and is made from weak plastic and should used carefully.

What a fun tool!
I took my spiral slicer to a family gathering last weekend. Three people will be ordering! My niece is on a low-carb diet, and the zucchini noodles were a hit with her. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is plastic and the push handle broke off in the first week. It is still very usable, however.

Perfect tool for low-carb meals or sneaking veggies into meals!
If you are trying to sneak veggies into someone's diet, or going for low-carb meals, this is the product for you. It works beautifully and takes apart easily to clean. I regularly use it to make zucchini and carrot spaghetti which I mix in with my pasta. By the time you get it tossed with your sauce, it looks like you have a giant bowl of pasta! The visual stimulation goes a long way to enjoying something and not feeling deprived. It does take up room, so if you've not got a lot of space in your kitchen, this might get annoying. The suction cups on the bottom are STRONG, which is good for stability, but I kind of have to PULL it off the top of my refrigerator (it's resting place), to use it.

Hoped it would be better
I had hoped that it would be better. I purchased it with the hopes of making vegetable type spirals in place of pasta. It was just OK, doubt if I will use it much. The spirals are inconsistent in size It is difficult to make a lot of spirals only 3 inches long - you either need to make one really long and cut to length afterwords or guesstimate where to cut as you spiral- 100% novelty which wears off after the first use. Tried several different veggies - carrots, zucchini, Daikon radish, beets, sweet potatoes. Apples & pears . The fruit did ok but can not think of a use for them. Of the veggies the zucchini & sweet potato were the best - everything else was just a mess.
