I have a 5.5W blue LED laser engraver/cutter and purchased these 1mm black acrylic sheets to try out for cutting. I thought they looked a bit thin but my caliper showed exactly 1mm.The sheets are supplied with protective paper attached to both sides, the paper should be removed from the laser side prior to cutting, I found it easier to peel off dry than wet.For my setup the best results were achieved accordingly:- Rate (feed) 150mm/minute- Power (spindle) 70%- 2 passesClean and smooth edges, very nice.Whatever you do, don’t breathe in the noxious fumes, ventilation is vital.

Bought to design wedding table numbers. Worked perfectly, great quality and the Bride was over the moon with them.

Why didnt you test if it was 2 minutes or 3? Coverd both sides in sticky brown paper, i filled a shallow dish with warm water, waited 2 to 3 minutes, like it says.Then you need to find a corner and scrape it up until you can pull it off.Got there in the end, not sure why the normal protection film wasnt any good, they had to stick brown paper on it, even that didnt protect it from being scratched.So a bit of messing about before you can use it on your engraving machine, my first time, dont know what im doing, but the program (Lighburn) and a cr crxxxx laser engraver went ahead and engraved it, but its so dark you cant see the lines very well, you might do better.1mm thick, perhaps cutting might have been better than engraving.Its ok to practace with

Have not cut with laser yet . But It looks like |it looks good. Will need to step down power but looks like a quality product.

More like 1.7mm - which is 15% thinner than advertised 2mm.It cuts ok on a diode laser - But engraving just melts a deep mark rather than leave a readable print - so I filled the cut with paint.
