Printhead Hospital cleaning kit for HP printers - 150ml

As I don't use my inkjet printer often enough, the magenta, cyan and yellow print heads became blocked. Having purchased the kit, I followed the instructions as best as I could. They were fairly straightforward, however there were elements that could be clearer. When I injected the fluid into the print heads there was quite a lot of fluid sitting in the around the top of the printhead mesh and it wasn't clear if this was supposed to be there or not. Having left the fluid to work and checking that the print head gauze had cleared, I then put in the second application of fluid. As I didn't get a fine spray of liquid coming out of the bottom of the print head, I decided to give it another application and leave it longer. Again, there was a lot of cleaning fluid sitting in the base of the print head carrier which I eventually tipped out before again putting in the final shots of fluid. Again I didn't get a fine spray of fluid when injecting the final treatment but decided to put the print head back in the printer and put in new ink cartridges.When I closed the printer, the print head wasn't being recognised so after a few attempts of removing the cartridges and the print head carriage and replacing them I was still getting an error message. So I decided to turn the printer off and re-start it and all was fine. I did a couple of print quality tests and head cleaning cycles to get rid of any cleaning fluid and managed to get all the cartridges working perfectly.The whole process is quite fiddly and doesn't exactly follow the instructions, but if you persevere (providing the print head carriage isn't damaged) this product does work well.

Read the instructions and this is one very good kit.I've used them before so didn't do that and it didn't quite do the job first time the key with this kit is to put the liquid into hot water so on the second go when I heated the fluid it clean the head after I left it to soak in in overnight.After clearing away the smears I will now printing 100% clean.The instructions are very good and the overall kit construction does what it says on the tin. I only had a blocked black jet but I decided to clean them all and I must say I'm very impressed with the results.Because it was much cheaper than getting it done at the local PC shop.again can I stress make sure you really heat up the fluid because it gets those blockages sorted out much quicker and wear the gloves biggest the ink can overspill the blotting paper so I use two pieces instead of one and it made the job much neater.I'm not a paid reviewer and I didn't get this product free to tested I just feel sometimes you read these reviews and you know the written by somebody by the working for the company for a paid reviewer and mine is an honest review from somebody that thought he was going to have to bin in a 15-month old printer.

Used to clean removable printhead for a HP photosmart 7520. The large black ink cartridge would not print with a new cartridge installed therefore the assumption was that the printhead was blocked. The adapters provided fitted the printhead correctly and allowed the supplied solvent to be easily squeezed through the printhead removing any dried up ink. I found this to be quite a messy operation and made liberal use ok kitchen roll to mop and wipe down the printhead. Initial results were disappointing as with cartridges reinstalled I kept getting error messages and could not get the printer to perform its cleaning and alignment programmes. However after taking the printhead out and wiping down a number of times and leaving overnight to ‘dry out’ the printer did perform its cleaning cycles and print quality was restored to as good as new. I can only assume that I used too much solvent and this caused a poor electrical connection between the printhead and printer. Overall I was happy with the product as I avoided the cost of a new printer ( at least for now! ) though having said that it’s possible to buy a decent printer for less than £50 so if you have a printer more than 3 or 4 years old it may be a better idea just to buy a new one? There’s plenty of solvent provided for dealing with future blockages so all in all it’s a good buy so long as you’re prepared for a bit of a mess and potentially some patience and perseverance!

I very recently purchased the "Print head cleaning kit for HP printers. My HP printer5510 would not print "BLACK".! It was just over two years old. I went to John Lewis where I had I had bought it to ask their advice. They could only suggest buying a new printer !!. So I came home and placed an order with Amazon. It arrived the next day. I tried a five minute soak and just a hint of black showed. .I then did some more treatment and left it over night ; to my disappointment when I tried to take a print off the next day it wasn`t very good. I replayed the video (which is so helpful) and tried the treatment again that morning. Hay Presto!!! I think I wasn`t pressing firmly enough when using the syringe and also I used VERY HOT water and applied it quicker. So thank you so very much. I shall sing your praises to all who have printers. As an OAP ,I confess I was a little nervous of applying this treatment on my own, but it was all made so very clear. Excellent product. Excellent value, Excellent service. Thank you. Jenni.

The cleaning kit arrived quickly and was easy to use following the instructions included and the youtube video on their website. My EPSON printer is now printing black ink again!
