Perfect fit. Approximately half the price of a genuine Dell battery. Time will tell if it is a good buy. I'll update in a year's time .

My rating is based on first impression, not sure how the battery will behave long term.My 3+ year old laptop Dell L5401 started having issues with the original battery. For a couple of weeks the wifi would show or not in windows, occasionally leaving us without internet, and more recently, with AC adapter on, the LED was flashing 4 times amber and one time white. Searching the internet what that meant suggested I need to replace the battery. I bought this generic battery ASUNCELL 68WH 3HWPP (the decision was driven by affordability although I generally prefer original components). Replaced the old battery with the new one and turned on the laptop: the new battery did not get recognized - BIOS was saying that there is no battery. Windows 10 did not recognize it eigher, again saying there was no battery. The solution was to turn off the laptop, disconnect the battery and hold down the power button for 30 sec, then reconnect the battery, and turn on the laptop. I can't say I understand the story behing the 30 sec procedure, just following internet advice, but this is related to draining residual flea power (perform hard reset).

My Dell Latitude's battery finally wouldn't hold charge well after 3 years. Rather than spend £100 on a new Dell battery, I took a deep breath and purchased this ASUNCELL 68Wh 3HWPP for about £38. I followed the instructions to discharge to 2% then charge to 100% (to calibrate the battery). Since then I am getting about four or four and a half hours of battery life. This time my intention is to run it mostly on battery - charge up to above 80% and then let it discharge to about 10% as I am using it, and then charge it again. I wasn't careful with the original Dell battery and I think it prematurely aged. Anyway very impressed so far - it's performing well.

Unfortunately my computer did not recognize the battery that I have received. As a result I have return it back.
