Great walks well worth the money

The walks contained are fine, but you need to have other things as well - like an OS map & compass. Being occasional 'strollers' and not 'hikers', we thought we only needed the book - wrong! The problem on several was the start; it often just describes a car park. In one specific case, when we (eventually after two wrong ones) found it, another car pulled up alongside and asked if it was the specific car park; we asked what book they were using and, you got it, it was the same book - this was also their third attempt. This suggests that it's not us but the guide.The walks are OK but the terrain descriptions and indications of gradients could be much better; we felt we had to guess at a couple of places (and got one wrong), and once you lose confidence in the book you might as well not have it. In summary, the walks are good, the routing could be better - take another map with you to ensure you can verify where you are, then the book would be a 'good buy'.
