Josie is out to dinner for her 45th birthday with her husband when a woman - Alix- walks in with a group of people- she is also celebrating her 45th birthday!! Josie makes it a point to follow Alix to the bathroom to let her know it is her birthday too, and as it turns out they were born at the same hospital. Josie seems to befriend Alix- a podcast celebrity, and has her do a podcast on her life. Something just is not right, those twists keep coming until the end!! Review: addictive - 4 ⭐️ Wow, this book had me hooked from the first chapter! I was completely drawn into Josie’s twisted world and couldn’t stop turning the pages. The mix of podcast transcripts, interviews, and multiple perspectives made it feel like I was watching a true-crime documentary unfold right in front of me. The pacing was fantastic, there was never a dull moment, and the unreliable narration kept me guessing the entire time. I literally finished it in two days because I had to know what happened. The ending left me a little unsettled and full of questions, but in a way that made me think about the characters long after I closed the book. Lisa Jewell is a master at creating tension and weaving together complex, flawed characters. If you love psychological thrillers that blur the line between truth and lies, this one is a must-read.

Excellent read...
I finished this book on Christmas morning because I couldn't wait to see how it ended. I almost finished it on Christmas Eve, after the festivities, because I found myself addicted to the story and the characters. I needed to know what happens to everyone. Lisa Jewell's novel "None of this is True" is a page-turner. It's a good story set in an interesting place, with intriguing characters, told in a unique format. While she told the story from various perspectives, the idea of the additional perspective of a true-crime podcast turned into a Netflix doc series put it over the top. I could imagine people binge-watching this series and talking about it at work the next day. I include myself in that category (I would still want to read the book about the crime, though; got to preserve my writer cred). I'm not the most effective book-reviewer, though. I'm more of a book-fan, and I get excited about a good story. As a writer I appreciate what it takes to write a page-turner that never gets bogged down but develops the characters while keeping the story moving, all the while keeping me dialed in to what happens next... and next... and next... As a fan of good books, I would definitely recommend adding this one to your list and giving it a read. As a reviewer, this book rocks. Was that reviewer-like? I don't know... Read the book.

Boring and Predictable
This was a meh at best . I don’t get the hype. Psychological thrillers are my favorite and this was so predictable. It made me feel yucky reading it. Plot has missing pieces. I heard audio is better. I only finished it in hopes something would happen but it never did.

Good book
Four stars because it wasn’t just my favorite book by her, BUT it is still sooo good. I think she can write a bad book. Glad to add this to my collection

What A Thrill
I picked this book for my book club, and I am not disappointed. There were so many twists and turns, and I was definitely left in a state of shock during some moments. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for something different, this proves to be the kind of thrill I was looking for. I can't to read more by Lisa Jewell and see what she has next.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Twisty, confusing, and definitely kept me hooked.
I picked up None of This Is True after seeing it all over BookTok and went in with high expectations. While it didn’t quite live up to the hype for me, I will say—it kept me turning the pages. Lisa Jewell knows how to write a suspenseful story that grabs your attention, even if you're not entirely sure where it's taking you. That said, I finished this book and still wasn’t totally sure what just happened. The unreliable narration, shifting timelines, and open-ended nature made it hard to fully settle into the story. I think that’s probably why I didn’t enjoy it as much as I expected—but it was compelling. If you like stories that leave you unsettled and thinking long after you’re done, this one definitely delivers. #NoneOfThisIsTrue #LisaJewell #ThrillerReads #PsychologicalThriller #BookReview #BookTokMadeMeReadIt #TwistyReads #UnreliableNarrator #ReadersOfInstagram #Bookstagram #SuspenseBooks #BookishThoughts #WhatDidIJustRead

Great hook!
Such a fun read! The author does a great job or foreshadowing so it keeps you on the hook. At about the halfway point I couldn’t read fast enough! Will check out her other books and hope for a sequel to this one!

This was a powerful book that had me hooked from the very first page. It made me consider all the little untruths that we say every day, whether to avoid conflict, or just a bit of harmless fun. It reminded me that truth isn’t something black or white, but many shades of grey, depending on whose perspective that truth is coming from. Families are a great source of inspiration because we all come from one, and some may be better than others. An excellent read, and one I keep pondering on long after the last page!

Have you ever met your birthday twin? Alix is out celebrating her 45th birthday when she meets her birthday twin Josie. A couple of days later, after another encounter, Josie suggests telling her life story for Alix's podcast. She tells her that she is about to change her life and that the podcast can follow along. Little does Alix know this podcast is also going to change her life. I absolutely loved this book. You know someone is lying, but you're not sure who. There are tons of twists and turns. This is my second book by Lisa Jewell, and it most definitely won't be my last. I highly recommend this one.
