this is a decent buy for hobby grade solar panel making

I can't give any details to those that are extremely scientific or detail orientated, but I can say you're getting what you bought.The tape is the same color as the pictures, it's easy to apply and bend, unlike copper which would've given you hassle and left wrinkles. Both sides are conductive but the non adhesive side does better at completing the circuit when slightly touching/brushing against the connector. (You could definitely stack the tapes into a "central hub" and the adhesive won't prevent the connection. But if you wanted an object in motion to occasionally touch a stationary object, use the non adhesive side.) Definitely great for paper and craft circuits.I also really liked the 3D printed "guard piece" that came with it, I just wish I knew how to full utilize it, especially the knob that I can feed the tape through. (Fear not those who question what this is, it mostly helps keeping the roll together and can easily be removed if desired) I just think the piece is very neat.My only complaint is how loosely the roll is round up, but that's no biggie.

We did paper circuits and this worked great!
