I move alot so I typically but these and throw them away. This one is a keeper...it's inexpensive, and the highest quality that I've found. It fits over all the various doors I've tried it on...from your standard apt bedroom door, to the extra tall/wide/thick door of a "loft" apt.The rubber pads on the sides actually do a great job of protecting the door trim area as they are flat rubber at the point where they meet the wall, vs round foam. It's a solid unit, I'm about 185 lbs and it's not going anywhere.

The manual is straightforward, and the parts are indented in such a way that it can only be assembled correctly. It comes with a tiny cast wrench to hold the lock nuts in place, but you will need a #0 (the really big one) Philips head screwdriver to assemble it. After that, it holds in place really well due to pressing on both sides of the wall and doesn't leave any marks. No need to put a towel behind the pads or anything. Taking it down is as simple as lifting it up.Not perfect, but it's great for a tight budget. Docked one star for not including a screwdriver and instead including a useless hex key.

Purchased a different pull up bar a year ago & already it is broken & wasn't able to hold my weight! Since I'm 5'3" & 135 lbs soaking wet, I found that very disturbing. I bought this one because of reviews & I'm NOT disappointed. Wanted to wait a bit to give my review to see how it performed. Put it through the paces for 5 weeks & have no complaints. When you pick the doorframe you want to use, it comes with brackets that attach to the top of the frame to help stabilize the bar. No more falling off the frame. The bar itself is amazing. Several different hand hold positions for different workouts & you can bring it down to the floor for push-ups & planks. Quality metal, easy up easy down and easy storage. Would suggest this bar to EVERYONE wanting a home gym.

8:32 7/20/2024 The rectangular bar that rests above the doorway which bares the load of the entire apparatus , as well as the weight of the user, is made of plastic!!?? As I have owned pullup bars in the past, this is always made of metal. This is undoubtedly a risk to life and limb if used and an absolute liability on the part of the company. I, am convinced this is a mistake, nonetheless I will reach out to the company and update this post accordingly. Please reference the attached picture. The part in question is circled in red.

The setup was a bit detailed compared to simpler pull-up bar configurations, but it was doable.Sturdiness was better than expected for the price.

I tightened the screws as much as they would go but they are all super loose. It seems to still hold up and allow me to do all the variations of pull/chin ups but feels very shaky and loose. Let me know if that is by design or if I got faulty screws.

Contrary to many other comments, I found that it wasn't that bad to put together at all. Just align some bolts and tighten some nuts. The nuts could be better but they were fine.The grip came covering one bolt hole, meaning I needed to fiddle with it a bit and may have even damaged it a bit but whatever.The package was lost so they needed to send a replacement but can't really blame the company for that.The rubber at the end is not great and also not attached. I wrapped them in socks and tape.I'm not sure how to use two of the handholds at all, they don't seem useful.But other than those minor issues, I find it to work well even without permanently installing.

Came with bolt hole covered by foam grip, which was very hard to slide away from the bolt hole. Another foam grip has prematurely worn away after only a few weeks of use.Otherwise, it does the job as advertised as long as you pay attention to the measurement requirements of your doorframe.
