 I had wanted one of these for a while but some looked a bit small and not very sturdy. This one is slightly bigger than others and appeared appropriate for my size.The hoverboard includes a mains powered plug, simple and easy to follow instruction manual and a carry case to store or transport the hoverboard. The power supply has an LED on it and takes between 2 – 3 hours to charge the hoverboard.Wheels:=======The wheels are solid so you don’t have to worry about getting a puncture whilst traveling on any terrain. There is good thick tread, which provides decent grip on most terrains.Carry Case & Art:==============There is a handy carry / storage case that fits the board snuggly when not it use. It isn’t padded but does the job. The hoverboard weighs 14.5kg and the case takes it weight.The board is decorated by street graffiti art that doesn’t look bad and adds to its style.Operating the Hoverboard:=====================The device is easy to turn on with the push of a button on the back. There are green LED lights on top that indicate how much charge is left in each motor. This is easy to see whilst standing on the board. There are front and backlights that allow you to be seen easily.The two 350W motors are quiet, power, smooth and all you really hear is the sound of the tyres going over the ground. I weight 83kg and they didn’t show any signs of an issue, which is good since they are reported to handle up to 120kg. It is reported to travel up to 15Km on one charge.The board is really easy to use by changing the weight distribution in your feet. There is an adaptive balance control to help you stay on the board. I liked how big the footplates were with a decent grip, since they could adequately accommodate my size 11.5 feet. I felt secure when standing on the board and it responded quickly to the amount of weight I applied to the footplate. I hadn’t used one of these before but within 5 minutes I felt comfortable moving around on it.YTD App:========There is a free YTD app that you can use to adjust the boards control from beginner / normal / advanced. This enables you to set it at the level appropriate to your skill whilst you build up your confidence. You can also set the maximum speed up to 10mph. I liked that since it made me feel safer and also less likely to cause myself an injury whilst learning to use it. A nice safety feature.There is the ability to change the sensitivity of the steering, driving force, auto shut down, adjust the light and do a system check. This app allows you to tailor the board to you particular skill level.Bluetooth Speaker:===============There is also the ability to play music through the hoverboard during use which is a great feature when outside.Overall, I have been happily impressed by this hoverboard and it can be adapted and adjust to my skill level. The functions and large size means it isn’t restricted to smooth pavements but can be taken over grass, sand and other rougher terrain.
