Scratchtastic
The product itself is fine, I have been using it for about a week in dappled sunlight in France and have yet to burn (which is quite something), so if it were just the product I was reviewing then it would be 5 stars. However, the design is such that there is a bloody great stick of plastic right through the centre of the actual sunscreen stick (photo 1), which means that I have to tilt the stick about 45° or only use the corners to avoid long scratches from the central pillar. I understand that there is a need to keep the sunscreen stick stable, but it seems that this pillar goes right up to about 3/4 of the way through the stick (photo 2) so I only had 1 or 2 uses (half body) before it affected application of the product. So while the actual sunscreen seems to be brilliant, I can't actually apply it properly without being scratched or holding the product awkwardly. Which is a bit disappointing really.

My skin is very fair and I get sunburn easily. This stick worked wonders
My skin is very fair and I get sunburn easily. This stick worked wonders, I spent 3 days at a rock festival in a heatwave and didn't get sunburn at all! Not even on my decolte area where I also often get sun rash, this time I didn't get that either. And the stick doesn't leave the skin sticky or slippery. Mixed with sand, dust and sweat it did make the neckline of the shirt rather dirty but that is to be expected at a festival so no worries! I also did get a few breakouts on my skin but I can't be sure if this sunscreen was guilty ior other things. But at least this didn't cause my skin breakout badly, definetely better than my any other sunscreens have been! The stick is very handy to carry around and you can add sunscreen on whenever without your hands getting sticky, a huge plus even when compared to the Neutrogena ultra sheer dry-touch lotion. I warmly recommend ultra sheer stick and will be getting another one for myself soon!

Highly recommend
Love the convenience of this. Had in my purse and replied to my face and arms throughout may stay in Spain and Portugal. It did leave my face looking oily and after 2 weeks of use, a detoxification mask was definitely needed. Still highly recommend for those who burn easily and need to reapply throughout the day.

Extremely Convenient, waterproof and it works
Great stuff bought as the sun tends to burn me on contact (Literally one step away from being a vampire!) used it for Open water swimming and was effective in the Lake district sun for at least two hours i was in the sun, no skin damage. It is easy to carry as its a wax style stick so does not leak and so can be put in bags and cars etc without issue. You can apply it directly like a roll on deodorant stick or use it on your hands and apply it.It can be a little greasy at first as its paraffin based. but then again most sun blocks are greasy in my experience.I like it so much have bought a few more for my family and so I can have a few sticks tucked away in case i get caught by the unpredictable British sunshine.

Handy and portable high protection spf
I like that this is in a stick format as there is no risk of spillage in my bag. Feels very very silicone heavy. I use it on my hands and tops of feet. I am not sure I would want to use this on my face during the day. It's handy for touchups and if you suddenly have to be in the sun with no hat. Like the very high SPF.

Great factor 70
Brilliant - thinner than I thought it would be on the skin.

Perfect protection from the sun for the kids (and me) and so easy to apply.
It's so much easier to apply this to the kids. Its perfect for their face, ears and neck. And they don't complain when you put it on , unlike with most bottled creams. Best to keep it in the shade as direct sunlight may make it congeal a little. very good product. we always take it everywhere.

Very easy way to apply sunscreen without getting your hands sticky.
Very easy way to apply sunscreen without getting your hands sticky and your hair greasy. Looks like a 'stick deodorant;' just rub it on. My skin doesn't feel gummed up like it does with liquids.Broad spectrum protection. It's going to be sitting right on the surace of the skin so not waterproof at all. But good high SPF so even if a bit rubs off you're still protected. It says to reapply after swimming, towelling or every 2 hours to maintain protection. Like any sun screen you should put it on 15 minutes before you go out.Still smells like sunscreen lotion so can't get away from that odour.
