Ltl acorn 6310WMC REVIEW
The media could not be loaded. Using as a surveillance camera with videos.Externally powering by 12 volts is not a good idea.Night time recordings are not saved when being powered by an external 12 volt supply, plus other issues occur (keypad plays up, screen goes fuzzy when manually shooting a video in the dark)After a few weeks talking to Ron Bury (LTLacorn techy) we finally confirmed between our tests these cameras don't like 12 volts! These cameras really are a 6 volt camera even though it's advertised as 6 - 12 volts and the instructions in the box state it's 6 - 12 volts. If you are looking at external power use a 6v supply or use a 12v to 6v converter (the converter will use more power - mine was about 10 miliamps)The 1080 setting is not what I consider full HD by a long wayIt's 1440 x 1080 and not 1920 x 1080So in effect the sides are cut off of a full HD image - you seem to get more sky and more ground in the image which I found unnecessary. The attached Video is on the 720 setting. When set to 720 the camera produces a 1280 x 720 video which is acceptable. In my opinion they have tried to label this camera as a 1080 camera when really it only feels like a 720 camera. They are stretching the figures a little here with this and with labelling it as 12v.Audio poor - hissing in the background and hardly able to hear someone speak 3-4 meters away. Cheaper cameras do a better job.Now for the good. The distance for triggering is good and outperforms cheaper cameras. The camouflage and the small size really help to hide it.As a surveillance camera the wide angle lens pushes things away from the camera so it would be better to get the standard lens version to get a closer view on people. This is not a bad camera at all but leaves a few thing to be desireld at this price(£150 - £170) This may be more reliable than cheaper cameras, time will tell.4 out of 5 stars********* Update . After 5 months the camera stopped working properly **********-1 more star

Disappointingly Unreliable.
Okay, so I've had it for three years, but, have only used it for a total of 2 or 3 weeks over that time so it's not by any definition had heavy use. Used it last week for first time in ages and ended up with 200+ activations - almost all triggered by single flies/ bees a few feet away and by slightly swaying twigs. That I can live with and work around, or could if I managed to change settings in the menu. But the problem then was to alter the settings...Trying to access the menu only results in a brief flash on the back of the screen followed by it seemingly switching off. Now I'm stuck with a semi functional unit that's most likely cheaper to replace than fix.

... this item for a month now and found it perfect for night vision in the garden
Had this item for a month now and found it perfect for night vision in the garden, the start time is over a second to start but in fairness I have not tested all of the settings.

Very Very disappointed with the battery life
The media could not be loaded. The camera takes good quality photos and video -but the battery life is dreadful. It claims it last 6 months taking on average 20 photos a day. I spent £25 on the recommended 2600 series AA tuniross batteries, and it lasted 17 days taking 247 photos on a single shot only activation. Using a 15 second movie is lasted 6 days. I course by the time time I found this out I can not return the item to Amazon. If you want a 1 week solution this will do it. Anything else, anything longer - dont bother

Great trail cam
The best trail cam out there: simple to use, well priced and reliable.

It's never worked
I have asked for a firmware update 3 times from Ltl. Acorn, but they just don't respond. I was traveling for ages so the warranty lapsed. A lot of money for a camera that just doesn't operate. Zero images in 4 years. The very last time I buy Ltl. Acorn. Tantamount to a scam.

Good spec poor quality case and seals
Good spec, batterys seem to last longer then my others but after owning for over a year moisture inside the unit, buttons fail to press, screen flickers. It's got the worst designed battery compartment I've ever seen with a very weak latch. The main power switch it's rubbish.
