It can be placed in the fridge to stay cool or it can be microwaved to heat it up but in either case, it remains flexible and will readily conform to the shape of the user. Brilliant for use on a broken ankle - bought 3, so always had at least one nice & cold in the freezer. Soft material pouch & stretchy strap, keep pack securely where you need it.
