Good price
We had to resolve some evap emission codes 2007 Scion and this cap and a few hose fixes did the trick.

Not a secure fit
Thought I would get this for our 2006 Toyota 4 Runner since most reviews were positive. Unfortunately it was not a secure fit and caused three warning lights and the check engine light to come on.

Does NOT FIT 2006 Toyota 4Runner.

Caution!
This gas cap was supposed to fit my 2004 4Runner! It didn’t!!! Had nothing but trouble with check engine light coming on! Seems the gas cap kept loosening up on its own! Went to Toyota and found out they actually make three different caps for that year! Took a photo of vin number in the drivers side door and got the correct gas cap! $30.00! I could immediately tell he difference in the quality and seal when I put it on! No problems since!

Will cause a check engine light to appear
Trust me on this -- Stick with an official OEM gas cap. I tried three different non-Toyota brands, this one being the latest, and all failed to resolve a system pressure error code. As soon as I bought an OEM gas cap, the problem went away and has been gone for months now. My mechanic warned me not to buy a 3rd party cap because they never work, but the price was too enticing to not at least try. Oops.

Did not work for us
I lost the gas cap to my husbands 2008 Toyota Tacoma. This cap did not work, wouldn’t click like it was fully closed, and does not make the check engine light go off like we needed.
