Great tool
Was trying to get a tap head off the value, tried for a week, no matter what I did to get off, it wouldn't budge, tried soft mallet underneath with cloth, nothing, I was dubious and thought do I want to pay £20 for this tool if no good, plumber would have been 3 or 4 times the cost. This little beaut got it off straight away and with minimum effort. Grinning from ear to ear (how sad)...

Can work well on highly corroded taps.
I used this on two tap handles with very severe corrosion on the splines. It would not work with simple hand pressure but did work when pump pliers were applied to the knob. I was worried that the knob would detach or the thread would be stripped but the device seems to be extremely robust. If you don't have pump pliers, a suitable spanner or vice grips should supply extra leverage. I think the tool could be improved by providing metal flats to accomodate a spanner.

Brilliant simple tool
Easy to use. Comes with simple easy to follow instructions. Excellent item to havevin your toolkit and does exactly what it says. I have the bonnet style raps with heral covers. The cover was stuck on, I guess due to the shower over it but with the gel of this tool, and little effort, it came off easily. Just think corkscrew and you get the idea of how it works but if you get stuck, there is a YouTube video. Highly recommended for keeping handy if you need to change a washer and the cover is stuck on.

Does exactly what it’s designed to do.
Does exactly what it was designed to do. If you need to replace washers in Pegler style faucets, this will help without damaging the finish.

Works well
Works well, seems a bit expensive for what it is but I couldn't find it cheaper

Didn’t solve my problem
Didn’t work for me with stuck tap handle. Must be more severely gummed up with limes ale than I thought Wouldn’t shift and eventually the grip failed The round handle at top hinders leverage and a t-bar would be better. The item is otherwise well made but didn’t the job for me unfortunately

Handy Tool
I used this to remove a bath tap handle which was firmly seized on it's splines. I had tried to free the handle using a mallet but with no success and any additional force could have been asking for trouble. The tool was simple to use and removed the handle very easily. One downside is that it is possible to damage the internal thread of the splined spindle. I damaged mine which meant that the retaining screw would no longer screw in. Luckily I had an M4 tap and was able to repair the thread very easily.
