A must have to help interior doors stay open
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I stumbled across this quite by accident. Had a few doors in the house that tended to not stay open. The install takes less than 5 minutes and the doors now stay opened.

Worked like a charm
I had a little difficulty getting the hinge pin back into the hinge while also holding the door spring, but I imagine it would be much easier with a second person. I obviously managed it but ended up scraping the paint (which you can see in the photo) while hammering the hinge pin back down.

Decent Door Holders
This perfectly solves the very first-world problem of the robot vacuum trapping itself inside the bathroom. The springs are less strong than expected, but that at least means they don’t slam the door open too hard when the handle is let go and not latched.

My cat regularly got trapped in the bathroom when she inadvertently closed the door. One of these in the top hinge solved the problem. What more is there to say?

Can make door stick on closing
The product works as described but you need to have a very loose fitting door to install it on. The circular end pieces force the door to be a bit tighter than it was before installing these, making the door stick when you close it.

These are so simple to install. Took me less than a minute on each one. They work perfect for me. No more half closed doors.

These permanently deform when closing a door and won’t work long-term
Right after installation these did a great job of holding the doors open against the wall. However, upon closing the doors for the first time, the coils deformed.Now when I open the doors they only return to the half-way open position. They have deformed too much and can’t keep the door against the wall as before.I suspect these may not be stainless steel as advertised. Or if they are stainless steel, they were not properly heat treated to achieve a high enough strength. I’m very disappointed in these parts.
