Pros: A lovely little machine, simple, light weight and functional. I have used it to clean all my carpets now. i have pets so stains are inevitable but this managed to get out dried on cat vomit. I have tried a few different shampoos now and prefer a supermarket own brand to Ebanks own as it is cheaper and smells nicer. Good for every day useCons: The only draw back is it doesn't to a deep clean as its a manual shampooer and not a machine.

I didn't expect much after reading the reviews but I had few options in the time I had available to clean up an old and quite filthy area or carpet tiling. It was ready assembled so I spent maybe as long as 10 minutes working on this disgusting bit of flooring. The Ewbank was so easy to use and intuitive about how wet to get the carpet. Best of all, the result way exceeded my expectations. I'm going to gift one to each of my family members.

I would say a proper carpet washing machine would clean it properly. The shampooer is a low budget options to clean the carpet. It is quite hard to use, and it does deliver the foam but I think is the shampooer that comes with it not very powerful to get the stain out. I have to spray Vanish carpet cleaner and work with the shampooer. From my picture, the previous owner of this house had a square rug in the middle and that’s how they got the clean square zone. And I expected this zone should be disappeared. The carpet stain did improve (but work with Vanish spray),For a manual carpet shampooer, with only £37. It does did its job. Quite a hard work though. If you have low budget and with no space to store a bulky carper washing machine. This is one of the option with OK result.

I don't like to leave bad reviews but this manual shampooer is not worth buying. It is hard to move on carpet. The roller doesn't move smoothly and when it does, it basically moves the dirt around other areas of your clean carpet. Made a huge mess. I have to get my carpet professionally cleaned now. The instructions were clear but the product is of very poor use. I could easily get on my hands and knees and scrub the spots myself with a cloth. When I pulled on the trigger to release the shampoo, it made a wet mess. Not happy with my purchase. Note: THE DELIVERY WAS QUICK!! (I SEE WHY - GETTING IT OUT OF THEIR WAREHOUSE)

I lovely carpet shampooer that is easy to push around, cleans the carpets and the bottle of shampoo that came with the cleaner is very good. Delighted with the product. Thank you.

After reading earlier reviews I wasn't expecting much but have been very pleasantly surprised. It was easy to use, the handle didn't collapse and the trigger on the handle was no problem and I have arthritis in my hands. It cleaned my test area of carpet and the stairs well. I also have a powerful heavy duty electric carpet shampooer but I am delighted with this lightweight and very portable carpet shampooer which I intend using in a holiday apartment.

No real complaints. Reasonable quality, lightweight and unlike an electric machine does not nake a noise! Hard to squeeze the lever so if you have arthritic hands like me, you may have to use both hands. It's not going to do a deep clean but is doing the job I wanted it to do. For the money paid it's good value. The tank capacity is adequate for a reasonable size carpet. Nothing special but it carries the good Ewbank name so I'm confident it will suffice.
