As any musician will tell you, it depends on the violin and the player which strings suit their needs best. For me, These Eva Pirazi Pirastro strings sweeten the tone of my instrument as compared with the Pirastro Obligato strings I was using before. They stay in tune on my violin and have a reasonable playing life. The last D string began to unwind after a while and I replaced it with another from my spare set. So it is that I have bought another one. If you are in the position of trying out a new violin or are experimenting with strings, I recommend these, though you will have to find in excess of £100 for a set and, no doubt there are other good strings for less than this.

I knew these were great strings as a master violin maker fitted them on reviewing my set up last year. I am really leaving feedback about the seller ,violin string.com.simply brilliant. Ordered strings in Scotland Thursday evening and they arrived Saturday morning .I wish all orders were like this!
