5' without shoes...
They were beautiful, light weight, I had a hard time with either getting the adjuster off or it flying across the room. Had to return because they only "fit" without my leg braces. (Which add about 1.5" to my leg length. ) Silly me forgot the concept of shoes for a minute. They fit my baby t-rex arms though. 😅

Not just for kids
While these state kids/Children, smaller sized adults could use them as well if they had too. I'm just over 5ft and when trying them, I was able to adjust them to their highest and use them with no issue. I'd probably get some foam though to pad the cuff your arm sits in as it could become annoying after long use. Also adjusting the height is annoying as I'm used to just pressing the nub in and adjusting to the height before the nub pops back through the desired height's hole. With this you have to pull the pin out of the hole and adjust to the height then press the pin back in. Easier to pull it out than push in, for me anyway. Does seem well built but I'd probably default back to my more traditional crutches than use these if I need long term or for long periods.

Great quality crutches - not just for kids
I ordered these crutches for my wife - she's a little over 5' tall and nowhere close to the 220lbs stated limit. She loves them!! They're light, easy to use, and the colors are just so cheery (why don't they make adult equipment like this???). We extended both the lower and upper sections of the crutches to their maximum length, and they fit her perfectly. And - they're much easier for her to use than a simple cane or walking stick. The quality of the crutches seems to be very good. Rather than using a spring-loaded button to set the length, they have a sturdy plastic collar with an attached post (about 3/4") that goes through the adjusting holes on the frame. It took me a few minutes to figure out how this works - the instructions talk about how to determine the height, but they don't cover the actual mechanics of setting it. Of course, once I went through the process, I found a clear explanation online in the product listing itself. I don't know if this method of setting the length is any stronger than the spring loaded buttons we normally see (it feels stronger), but it certainly makes it much more difficult for someone to change the height settings, either accidentally or on purpose. That's a good thing, especially if these are used for younger kids.I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and the utility of these crutches. As I said, my wife and I both love the appearance and feel they provide good value. Now, if only they'd make crutches like these for larger adults...

Teeny out of the box, high-quality materials
Out of the box you're struck by how teeny they are. See pic 1 - those shoes are size 7 women's, for scale. They're very light, yet the aluminum rod is strong and secure w/ a heavy duty plastic handle and cuff. Each cuff has a reflector light on the front AND the back - good thinking. The handle is rugged but the grip is comfortable to the hand. The bottom is the same heavy rubber foot you see on bigger crutches. They come fully assembled and ready to use. You can see in the photo were they are adjustable in two places. I could not get the orange "pins" out in order to adjust the size, though. I think it would take a screw driver or something else unless to pry it out. These are rugged and should survive any rough and tumble kid. I hate the adjustment system but I like the crutches so much I'm not going to take a star. Consider my rating a 4.5.
